Anyone have an option to Cancel the order still showing? I placed a few orders and most say "Item(s) located in stock," but there are few that have the option to cancel and do not show Item(s) located in stock. Anyone have any experience with this? Could this mean they may cancel my orders since its taking so long? Just curious.

Just a warning, the official policy is to not match the website prices in store, so you have to be lucky and get a nice manager if you go that route.

I ordered a Jabba's Palace, a Vampire Castle and got the MMV as my free set. Initially the MMV would not come up as free, but I got on the phone for about 45 minutes and, I think, we got it sorted out.

Yeah, same here. Got 2 Death Stars and 1 Super Star Destroyer for about $260 each including tax. Total came out to be $780.21 for all three including shipping. It was a hassle talking to first talk with customer service, compliant about it, then get transfer to the supervisor. Wait about 5 minutes so the supervisor can talk with their supervisor. Then they will admit it's their system's technical error and say they'll honor the promotion. Then they're transfer you to the customer service "specialist" where they'll take your order. It's just that simple. Overall it's a great deal.

I'm glad people talked to the specialists this morning before they bumped the prices back up. The DS & SSD were great deals at 360 a pop before the discounts.

The specialists are super easy to talk to and don't give you any crap like the regular people who answer.

For those trying to buy the winter sets, I'd suggest y'all do the same thing and talk to a specialist. Life is easier that way. ;)

TRU changing what they include in their promo is extremely shady since nowhere did it say "hard to find" when it first showed up. it's like they realized they screwed up and changed iit late.

I don't think anyone should be surprised that the sets have that TRU tax included again. The fact that they were MSRP last week is the suprise. ;)

Looks like you really have to pound the CS to get in on the SSD and DS, didn't want to go there so I just hung up.

The only thing I'm a bit worried about is that my emailed "receipt" from toys r us says the full amount. It doesn't say anything about the manual credit my specialist said he gave of $436.78? Don't know wheather I should wait to call back tomorrow? Or now and make sure it is correct?
He did say he had to run the transaction at normal price then go back and issue the credit...
I don't want any messups...

Any thoughts?

Strange...I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told "There are no supervisors working during the weekend. You can call back at 8am EST on Monday and ask to speak to one"

I called them back to confirm and the cs rep confirmed that it is normal for the before discount "total" to show for manual inputted stuff and that the correct amount should show on my cc statement. I hope so ;0)
I did get the higher dollar ds and ssd that were not officially part of promotion...?

Granted its a crappy way for them to conduct sales, but they have been doing it this way for a long time, and it is in their fine print. You can complain about how they conduct business, you can gripe, but it is well within their rights.
In both the printed ad, and online banners, it never mentions "additional exclusions may apply online.". This line ONLY exists on a page within a page within a page that is NEVER referenced in their advertisements.

Can you quote the fine print on the printed ad that says that?

Hmm.. My store pickup orderer with pre-jacked up prices got cancelled. Suppose I'll have to call tomorrow, but not happy about that. Anyone have any a similar experience?

Based on previous history, I was fully expecting not to have any success with the modulars or $150+ hard-to-finds. So no disappointment there.

I was a bit let down to see that the Winter Village sets were also excluded. But given the exclusion of everything else in that category, I guess I can see it.

I was really disappointed that a couple of the Mill Village Raids (yeah, they were still hanging around my TRU) had finally sold in advance of this sale. I was looking forward to coupling that with something from Monster Fighters.

I was still able to find a good deal with some sets online. So definitely not all that I was hoping in the sale, but I thankfully missed being outraged. :)

littlemic wrote:I do not know how to upload an image here... but if you go to TRU's website, click on the B2G3F advertisement on the main page. Under Featured Categories, it shows a box with title 'Buy 2 Get the 3rd FREE ALL LEGO Construction Sets & Board Games'. Under this box, click 'Show More', then it shows HARD TO FIND is included in this sale... they should totally honour the sale. for those who are planning to file a complain with it, pls remember to take a screenshot of this!
Big thanks to littlemic, that was very helpful!!!!!

Finally got it all figured out, I talked to three representatives and one supervisor, took me an hour and a half but I ended up getting a different deal. The supervisor accidentally hung up or something, and I had to call back and got another representative but this time she was super nice and wasn't even the slightest bit hesitant. She added up all three items at $359.99 and then did a 40% off the entire transaction, two DS one SSD for $720 after tax and shipping, or $240 a piece after everything so all in all, I would say the call was worth it and everything went better than expected =)

Keep trying until you get somebody nice!

Got the same deal as dimsumonly. Spoke with customer service and managed to get 2 DS @ 233.99/per and 1 SSD @ 234.00 Total 780.21 includes shipping & handling. Took many tries but persistence paid off.

I spoke with 3 supervisors and 5+ representatives, and in the end I got 2 Imperial shuttles and the Creator Tower Bridge for a total of $510.64, a total saving of 35% woot! Thanks everyone!

Just be nice to the representatives and be patient =)

I called early Sunday morning. Spent about an hour on the phone while the sorted it all out. Ultimately, I ordered all three items at full price and they refunded the price of the free one.
