That sounds like a better deal. :)

Awesome. VIP points can be applied after these too, so your sum doesnt even have to be $75.

Picked up the Haunted House set so getting the free shipping and zombie car is a great bonus! Picked up the Alien Walker too since it was only $10

Once my points kick in I might use them and get the Palpatine Arrest set later this month before the free shipping expires. That set is one of the most overpriced sets ever I think.

Yeah! Had to get the triple deal. Otherwise, I would have probably passed on Sopwith Camel short of 25%+ off.

Does S@H usually have a double VIP points and free shipping offer in October every year? Trying to be patient...and needing a few more weeks to save $$ for all the items on my wish list. ;-)

I was fortunate enough to build the display model of the Haunted House for my store and by far it's one of my favorite builds in a long time. I highly recommend picking this up as soon as you can. To add a little kicker, this set is only available for a very limited time!

The price difference between CDN$ and USD$ values appears to be getting smaller. This is long overdue since CDN$ is at/near par with USD$, and has been for long time. They should be same price imo.

Comparison:
Sept. 1, 2012 release - Haunted House (10228) $199.99 CDN$, $179.99 USD$
Jan. 1, 2011 release - Diagon Alley (10217) $199.99 CDN$, $149.99 USD$

I'd like to know too! Was there a limited production run? I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere.

I got mine today. They were selling fast. While we were there, 3 other people were buying them. Also got a Green Ninja for one of my boys.

Sounds like people ought to buy this now rather than waiting for a deal. This might be the best deal that there ever is on this if it sells out soon!

Please indicate source. As others have stated, there hasn't been any indication of a limited time for the Haunted House. I can understand if there's currently a limited quantity for now.

Totally agree, especially if it become popular, I do not see Lego wanting to throw a money maker away while keeping this set limited.

I picked one up today...i used the lego 10% off coupon that came in the mail yesterday! (even though it clearly said coupon is valid sept 3rd-sept 29. That with the zombie polybag set it came with...made this a no brainer.

And lets be realistic here...have you ever met an all-knowing retail employee? This set is not limited edition.

What coupon is this? From a catalog?

This was told to me by one of my superiors. Take it with a grain of salt, if you will, as we all know business strategies may change. Initially, this set is supposed to be available up until the xmas holiday.
