[USA] K-mart additional 50% off clearance toys

July 8th through 14th Kmart has an additional 50% off all clearance toys.
I was able to find a few small POTC sets and a few Ninjago spinners in the clearance aisle that rang up at full price at the register, but since they had clearance stickers on them they honored the half off sticker price.

Yeah, all of the Kmarts I checked (5 of them) had the lego clearance stuff back at MSRP. It looked like they pulled a ton of AC out of the back, too. Not much else besides those.

Nothing worth noting. Everything that I thought would be there is back on the shelves at full (or higher) price. All AC, HP and Red Ninjago are not on sale. Found one random Hero s set.

Monkey see, monkey do. Toys R Us have been doing this for ages, jacking their price so the sale looks good to people who don't know the MSRP.

Yeah, fortunately my local Kmart, for whatever reason, started this sale a week early, so I already knew that none of the clearance stuff from the previous clearance was still on clearance... only stuff from two clearances ago... an Atlantis set and a Freeing Dobby is all I ended up with.

thanks to a helpful tip from a t&B member, we both scored the avengers loki chase? and wolverines showdown for 9.99 each as well as a hulk escape for 25. I also found two Ramses pyramid games fro 5 each. They scan at full price but were clearance stickered so 50% off they went!

I so don't get this. Those are newly released sets! East Coast seems to get a lot of love from the Lego clearance gods. Ah well maybe some day....

Ok, get this: I went to our local K-Marts to look for their clearance. They had just a tiny bit. In our town is a K-Mart Clearance outlet store that all the stores are shipping their clearance to. I went there and everything was.......10% off. I talked to the manager and he said that since they were a so called outlet store, the regular stores 50% off clearance doesn't apply to them. Hummm. So K-Mart is having a sale in their stores but shipping off all the product to the outlet store that doesn't have to honor the sale. Awesome business model.

The Kmart by me has slim pickings usually but they actually got in about 4-5 Gungan subs at 70$.

I got lucky: the clearance stickers were still on four Captains Cabin ($9) and a Bounty Gunship ($37) and a Kreo Optimus Prime ($22). The tag was still up advertising "additional 50% off clearance - sale ends 7/14." The items scanned at regular price. A wonderful lady gave me the deal and I got them all at half off.

Nice deals! Those Kre-O blowouts were pretty insane, about 80 % off retail minimum. The two K-Marts by me had a ton of Optimus, Sentinel, Megatron, Starscream and Prowl.

^ Yeah, I am mercilessly kicking myself for wasting my own birthday Amazon gift cards on two Kreo sets for my son's Xmas last year. My pathetic excuse is that at the time in was just a dad, not an AFOL.
