Lego VIPs - Free Shipping
If you've checked your email lately maybe you are one of the lucky VIPs to get a cool little message stating:
Free Shipping Just for you! when you spend $75 or more online. **
Valid until September 30th.
Simply sign in with your Lego ID and the free shipping will be applied automatically to your order.
-There are always asterisks on these types of cool things. The free shipping is tied to the email account. It sounds like it could be used multiple times BUT there is a sentence that allows Lego to revoke the free shipping on a whim.
Text from email:
**Offer is valid for the original recipient of this email only, for orders placed 1st July - 30th September, 2012. Qualifying purchase must be equal to or greater than $75 in merchandise only; any applicable delivery charges or value of gift cards purchased do not apply to merchandise total. Excludes backorder items. Cannot be applied to previous purchases or combined with any other discount, offer or free gift. Offer is valid through the LEGO Catalog or on shop.LEGO.com. Offer is not valid at LEGOLAND Parks or LEGOLAND Discovery Centers. The LEGO Group reserves the right to cancel or modify this promotion at any time without advance notice.
With the points adding up, this will be a good time to shop.

Aww... didn't get one. Maybe it is because I haven't shopped on S@H for a few years now. Thanks for posting though.

I got this message in my VIP newsletter.
Re: Lego VIPs - Free Shipping
Maybe it is USA offer. Didn't see it in my VIP email.

Re: Lego VIPs - Free Shipping
I have spent a LOT of money at the LEGO store in the past 6 months. I got newsletter but no free shipping offer (I'm in California). My guess is it's one of 3 reasons:
1) Truly random
2) Person buys a lot via S@H (I've only bought only 2 times this year for Hulk and TC-14 giveaways)
3) Person's location is cheaper to ship?

Re: Lego VIPs - Free Shipping
I got free shipping with only a $49.00 purchase through 9/30/2012. It's in the same email as the newsletter.
Re: Lego VIPs - Free Shipping
No free shipping... odd that they do such things given that it can be assumed people talk. Either give it to everyone or no one.

Thanks for pointing that out! I just looked at the newsletter, and, lo and behold, free shipping! Thanks, legogod.

I got free shipping, but mine is on $99 or more, so it varies, I wonder if it is based on amount spent in recent months.

Re: Lego VIPs - Free Shipping
I didn't receive free shipping - I've spent plenty, so I think it's just random.
Re: Lego VIPs - Free Shipping
Aggravating. Would love me some free S@H shipping. I've spent several thousand and got nada. Wouldn't surprise me if marketing targeted people who haven't spent/ordered a lot via S@H to try to get them to order again.
Re: Lego VIPs - Free Shipping
No love here neither and I have just spent thousands over tc-14 and mini hulk last month!

Yeah, stupid Americans, always getting stuff...Legobrandon wrote:Americans, they get everything. ;)dr_spock wrote:Maybe it is USA offer. Didn't see it in my VIP email.

Wait... I'm a stupid American and my VIP newsletter didn't say anything about this!!!
As others are saying, this is probably to entice people who don't order on a regular basis to do so.
Re: Lego VIPs - Free Shipping
Maybe it's based on proximity to a Lego store? If you live close to a Lego store (I do), maybe they don't give you free shipping, since you can go directly to the store.
Re: Lego VIPs - Free Shipping
That's a pretty good theory. Being in Southern California, I have relative access to quite a few LEGO Stores and I didn't the free shipping email.brickity wrote:Maybe it's based on proximity to a Lego store? Re: Lego VIPs - Free Shipping
Best theory so far. Anyone get free shipping that's close to a LEGO store? LEGO discovery and LEGOLand aren't actually owned by LEGO so those don't count.pushpin wrote:That's a pretty good theory. Define close. There is only one in my state, but I'm only 55-60 miles away...
Re: Lego VIPs - Free Shipping
I got an offer for free shipping at $75. I've been on a buying spree last couple months especially with those free minifigure offers.
