Wow this really sucks with no more phone specials. Takes them too much time to organize it and its not worth their time i bet.

I don't think that many people actually knew about this and even less probably utilized it. TLG probably felt that it wasn't worth the effort.

I would of loved to get in on some of the specials but being on the west coast I'm at a disadvantage having to get up at 5 AM in in order to call in. I thought it was somewhat unfair and mentioned it to the phone personnel everytime I asked for something and told it was sold out.

Worth the effort?????????

Ironically they (Lego) sold out of every "Phone Special" weekly sale.

Definitely worth the effort.

I'm thinking this is the beginning of the end for LEGO Shop@Phone in order to concentrate solely on web sales.

I agree.
More and more companies are dumping phone support.
Cost a lot more to pay someone to enter info, than having customer do it themselves.
Only hope maybe we get better deals online, as was mentioned.

Ya phone reps cost much more than online. They need to pay for their workers and it takes longer for them to input info especially on the phone. A phone rep can only handle 1 customer at a time, where as a live chat rep can handle 3-5 customers at a time.

Likely they saw that it was being bought out early by all the resellers and then having subsequent callers complaining there's nothing left. I know that to be the case because I tried a couple times just an hour after it opens and everything is gone or just the sucky stuff are left over.
