Thx for the coupon code.

Order a 9492 TIE Fighter, which is currently offering 10% off. With 15% off on top of it, it came down to 30% off MSRP.

Pay $38.2 + $6.48(shipping to my home@Canada) + $1.91 tax. Not a very outstanding deal(due to TLG MSRP mark up), but it definitely is a better price than any retail shop in Canada.

Don't quite understand your point about (due to TLG MSRP)? BN has it for $5 less than TLG (and $5 more off with the 10%off).
The time to have bought this was when there were 30% coupons on top of the 10%. Next best is 20% but I draw the line there. I would not buy with only 15% additional off unless you can ship it for free to US location; however, even at 15% off you still got it utlimately for 42% off compared to cdn msrp+taxes.

I mean that this is an expensive set. Even BN.com offers $5 below TLG MSRP, it is still over-priced while the MSRP has been set by TLG at $54.99. IMO, the MSRP should be $39.99 the most, but not $54.99. If TLG set the MSRP at $39.99, we do get a better deal, don't we?

Lucky you that you got 30% off coupon. I was never as lucky as you were. Last time I only received 15% off coupon, and BN.com didn't offer 10% off before coupon applied.

thanks for the clarification. I think $49.99us is fair/reasonable msrp for this set which has 413 pieces including 3 new minifigs and one common minifig (12 cents a piece). I don't think we should count on prices below 10cents for licenced sets with this many minifigs. Definitely a cheaper way to collect the death star troopers than to pull them from battle of endor and death star sets. Sets that have prices out of whack with pieces that I agree are way overpriced include sith infiltrator, jedi shuttle, and 8088 arc starfighter.

Oh, the 30% coupon codes I was referring to were the ones that were posted for everyone to use in feb, so not from the mystery coupon codes. I never get lucky from the mystery coupon promotions; only have been getting 20% at most.

sorry my mistake - all the codes I used (that were not part of mystery discount promotions) were the 20% off coupon codes for members and non members available back in early feb 2012. They were all used in conjunction with 10% off already. I checked my purchase history at bn.com and I did indeed get one 30% coupon from the mystery discount promotion.
