Yeah, the MOST he could have saved is 60% off TRU prices, and that's only if he got exactly $50 worth of 3 or more items in every order, and paid 0 tax and 0 shipping.

A more realistic savings would be 40-50% total off actual MSRP.

Y'know, that reminds me, Kudos to Lego S@H when they do stuff like "Free shipping with orders of $49 or more" because, as evident with the TRU thing, there's no way you can get $50 even with 3 items. The closest you can get is $49.97, which would not trigger the discount.

Lego, you're not listening, but that you for being consumer-friendly and logical when it comes to thresholds like that (most of the time anyway).

Given all of TRUs shady tactics for their sales events, I feel no regrets about taking advantage of this opportunity. I would be very surprised if someone did not get fired over this though. Bleeding money like this in a corporation is almost unforgiveable. Course, maybe this was the final act of someone already on the outs. Probably never know.

oh man i went back today to score even more.

i got 3 naboo pilots for 1.99 each. i also picked up the new firetruck, the sponge bob green ship (i like that green genie guy.) i got 4 of the new trooper battle packs, i got 4 endor battle packs, the droid escape drop ship, another genosian cannon, and a few more, but i cannot remember now.

the girl at tru did not even ask me why i was buying to many legos! ha.

i did the store pick up, because you never knew when the glitch was going to be found out. ha.
