I was joking btw. I only ordered the Marvel combo. Once. I thought about placing another order with another combo but decided to save my money. I had just ordered the Batting special at B&N as well.

Is anyone else having trouble with store pickup option when placing an order today? I hit the radio button and nothing happens (usually you get asked for store lookup information). Problem with both IE and Chrome...

Edit - Maybe I was just too hasty with the trigger finger. I managed to get it to go through, but had to be very patient between clicks.

TRU is probably overwhelmed with unexpected high volume of orders this time. I wonder how long it will take for them to fix this glitch. We all came out winners this round with TRU :)

Picked up a bunch this morning, got their last Captain America. The lady was curious "we've been getting a lot of these orders. Is there a sale or something going on?" I usually just say "I dunno, my wife orders these things." I've found there's nothing good to come from giving retail workers details about anything like this.

FYI, my store is out of everything Marvel except 2 each of Wolverine and Loki. Yesterday they had many of each set.

Marvel being sold out, the next best likely-in-stock combo (for me) is:
SW Droid escape
SW Commando battle pack
SW Endor battle pack

$21.97 before tax/shipping for all 3. It's a great time to build an army.

Considering this isn't on $D yet.... it may not acutally have that many orders....

I can't place an order to pickup because the only TRU near me doesn't stock sets anywhere near the release date. They are usually 2 weeks behind.

I'm hoping the order I placed gets shipped. I have Shoprunner so hoping the 2day air gets an urgency on the order.

I'm thinking maybe they won't fix it if the amount of orders are small. Seems like only when it's high is when they'll pay attention.

I'm thinking the same thing. It's not like people are getting free Tower Bridges or Pet Shops. This is a drop in the bucket for TRU I'm sure.

Btw, the promo code says it's good through 4/12 (assuming it's not fixed before then).

i just feel like it's adding insult to injury when not only the 10 off is applied to each item (up to 3), but we can also apply them to some supposedly-excluded themes as well.

I had no problem picking up two orders this morning at my local store. The lady unlocked the storage area where they keep the store pick-ups and had me identify my orders. There was only one other order of LEGO sets waiting for pickup, so it seems word hasn't gotten around here.

Aww, I just tried to use the code a second time, and it didn't work. I guess it's a one-shot thing, unless you go and do two accounts or something maybe. Oh well, I would start to feel guilty after about the 6th order anyway.

Here's the order I placed for pickup (titles abbreviated, prices rounded slightly):
7958 SW Advent $20 - MSRP=40 -> discounted invoice price: $10
3815 Spongebob Heroes $18 - MSRP=15 -> discounted invoice price: $8
6913 Creator roadster $15 - MSRP=13 -> discounted invoice price: $5
Order total with tax: $24.85

Highway robbery! Hey, then again they agreed to the price and everything. Hopefully the order doesn't get revoked by the time I roll around to pick it up tonight.

If anybody is interested, here's some other ones I was looking at. It's YMMV because these were what were in-stock nearby me. Just for other people's ideas.

6177 bricks & more $35 - MSRP=30
4865 HP Forest $15 - MSRP=12
30028 Holiday wreath poly $6 - MSRP=5

I especially liked the looks of the bricks & more pack; good value there. Small polybag just to pad out an order just shy of $50 (wreath has some nice green pieces).

Wait, I just read some other posts. How are you guys placing more than one order? Using multiple accounts / spouse's card? Or can you log out as your regular TRU account and place another order somehow?

Log out, clear cookies and cache, close browser, re-launch browser then goto the site.

Add things to your cart, login and purchase, no problems with my 3 orders this morning.

Used the same toysrus account on all3, no problems

I use firefox browser for all my normal browsing, and IE for stuff like this. That way I don't mind deleting cookies, cache, saved passwords etc. :)
