As always, be sure to buy similarly priced sets to maximize your savings. Additionally, try and find those sets as close to MSRP as possible. While this is no easy task at Toys R Us these days, there are some deals to be had. In store for example, I'd look at pairing the Robbers' Hideout (4438) with the Dynamic Duo Funhouse (6857) which will result in nearly 16% Off MSRP. Online for example, I'd pair the Grand Emporium (10211) with the Fire Brigade (10197) which will result in 25% Off MSRP.

One item that is actually below MSRP is 10222 LEGO Creator Winter Village Post Office 59.99 (69.99). Of course i have already bought it, but it would be a good one to pair up with.

Sweet, just grabbed a GE and FB, my first modulars. Only weird thing was that my primary browser Chrome wasn't showing the sale. Had to close it and launch firefox to get the BOGO to show up.

Just surfing the TRU website and i am noticing a definite price hike in some kits i bought no more than 2 weeks ago. Savings on the kits i bought during the last BOGO offer would now only be about 10-15% per kit.

Yeah, I was just at TRU today. Some of their Lego markups are insane. Some deals for this sale can be found, such as the Modulars and WV Post Office, which is listed at $59.99 not $69.99.

I'm surprised any of the big sets were in stock at all. Normally, they change the status to OOS even if in stock for sales.

Call and they might give you a "raincheck". You'll have to place an order another time, and call and they will credit your credit card the BOGO amount. Explain that it was in your cart and disappeared when checking out, they might honor it. Then you can just place an order during a time when it is in-stock (the rain check is valid after the sale is over).

I did this once and it worked, although mine OOS situtation happened when I called CS and they deleted my order in error. Still worth trying as I did get my set a month or so later, called and they credited me $75.
