Target in Glendale had the City Corner for $15.99 as the regular price.

This was three weeks ago. They had 2 on the shelf but I only bought one, not to be greedy. The shelf sticker even had the regular price at $15.99. I went back the next week and it was back at $59.99. I think it was a mistake.

love,
dre

Which one? (city) Was that the only one they had left?
I have mixed feelings about new releases: I can't wait to see and get the new sets... but I can't figure out where I'm gonna put them or store them.

Yesterday at a TRU here in San Jose, CA, I bought a "6754 Creator Family Home" for $65. There was only one on the shelf and it was in new condition, not beat up or anything. This set is from 2009, and I hadn't seen it on shelves. Looking at Amazon, it's selling for $79, which means to me that it's "out of print" and not on shelves anymore.

Sidebar: TRU was cleaning up their shelves and moving in new stock and reorganizing over there. So now might be a good time to swing by and see what's what at your local store.

Funny you mention that, I found two of those in Ann Arbor, MI just last week and grabbed 'em. They're not going for much more on Ebay, but it's less hassle and no S&H charges.

Found 8098 Clone Turbo Tank in local walmart... scanned it... and it's 79.99... I believe they have mark down the price... YMMV

Scored a Clone Turbo Tank for $60 off craigslist this past weekend. I was a little leery since it was so cheap, and even more so when he pulled it out of his car and saw the box was dinged up and the tape was starting to come loose. He told me he had bought one for his kid for Christmas and then received another as a gift and wanted to unload it.

Before money was exchanged, he told me to open it up and verify everything, which I did, mainly checking to see if all the minifig parts were there, which they were.

Went home and promptly assembled it. One of many great scores I have found on CL.

Got for $15 each the Midi-Scale Star Destroyer (8099) and Fire Helicoper (7206) at Wal-Mart in Ontario, CDN

Also noticed they have a Technic mobile crane and another 8099 there - may try to get that tomorrow.

Got a great big box lot off eBay for $109 shipped and just in preliminary sorting found 3 long straight monorail tracks and 3 curve tracks.......coupled with the last box from ebay that had the monorail motor, battery box, and both monorail bases complete, I'm on the way to my first monorail!

Wow nice score. Can you still order those via the internet? If so please post the website link.

I got one from Lego.com for full price + tax + shipping :( At least I got VIP points right? Figured better to get it at MSRP than 2x MSRP in 6 months... I just never found it during a sale when it was 'available'... always magically goes out of stock during sales -.-

Went to a local TRU, looking for some CMF3's, none to be found but I did find a 2010 Bricktober Promo pack, the 1981 Fire Chief, hidden between some boxes in the LEGO section (I was searching for hidden treasure), went to customer service to ask how much it would be buy, they told me since it was a giveaway they didn't have a price and since it was from October it was no longer in their system so they just let me have it, not what I was looking for but a nice consolation, and great customer service. Thanks TRU.
