Bystander posted about some heavy discounts at a local grocery store
I should have checked my local Kroger sooner. When I checked today I missed out.. these items were gone but the price tags were there...

TMNT Krang lab escape $3.90 - stealth shell pursuit $6
Iron Man Extremis sea port battle $6
Galaxy squad space swarmer $3.60
Chima Razcal Glider - $3.60
Republic vs Sith troopers $3.90
Hobbit wizard battle $3.90
City fire chief car $3.90
city stunt plane $6

same as bystander noticed plus...
LEGO pink suitcase (reg $25) $6
LEGO blue suitcase (reg $25) $6
These were at my local Kroger. If you have a large Kroger with a toy section you may want to check them out.

At my local Walmart, I acquired a Mines of Moria LotR set for $54.00 which is a little over 30% off for a set that is now retired/sold out at LEGO.com and way overpriced elsewhere.

Target: Someone must have returned an old Ninjago Cole's tread assault, because it wouldn't scan so they gave it to me for $5. There was also an online item for a Minecraft "the Nether" for $12.26, which I don't know anything about, but it seemed like too good of a price to pass up on.
They also had all of the large Mega Bloks Skylanders sets for 70% off, including the new Swap-Force ship.

I went into a walmart that I've never been to before about an hour and a half from my house. I found a Harry Potter Quiditch Match! Scanned it, rang up for 15$. MSRP was 19.99. Cheapest one on amazon is 80$.

Crazy find!

I just ordered Hobbit Dol Guldur Set from ToysRus. It was at retail of $69.99 with $20 I was able to get it for $49.99 plus tax. I had to add 2x LEGO Movie minifigures (3.99 each) to my order ($20 off purchase of $75). Still pretty good deal for a new LEGO hobbit set. I must add it is currently $59.99 at both Amazon and Walmart online price. Spiderman Daily Bugle Showdown set was in stock at retail ($49.99) but it is now out of stock. I'm a bit jealous of the recent posts in "Steal of a Deal" but happy for each of you. LEGO hobbit Unexpected Gathering is also currently in stock at TRU at retail of 69.99 (49.99 after $20 discount) for those looking for a decent deal on it. I saw it go as low as $42 (amazon) during December but thats the lowest that I've seen it.

Bizarre...today at Wal-Mart I found a 8097 Slave 1 for $63. I triple checked the seals and the box was in great shape considering how old it is.

Thanks for sharing! I would love to find the Colby City Showdown for that price. I'm on the lookout for more "dark" green bricks. I was really interested in trying to find the Mine shootout at a low clearance price bc of the many light tan bricks but I discovered (online image of instructions) that it is mostly slopes.. very few bricks of this color :( Maybe I should find instructions for the Colby City Showdown to check actual quantity of dark green bricks

I bought Colby City for $32 from Target, great set, makes me wish I bought 1, even 2 more from Aazon when they were $26 right before Christmas.

I quick count is 30-35+ 1x1 dark green bricks and about 15 1x2 dark green bricks.

The last time I was at a lego store the PAB wall was full of tan bricks. What sizes are you looking for?

Scored a pretty beat up lego 5378 hogwarts castle from target today.... Checked and the contents are all there... Paid $45 but totally worth it for this set that is 7 years old... :-)

Daaaang zdog89, $45 is a crazy good deal for that set, even when it was new. You'd be hard pressed to find one of those under a few hundred dollars now, even in beat up condition. Wish I had that type of luck. I would've snatched that up in a heartbeat.

Found the lego city space center (3368) for $34 at my local Walmart. Does anyone know if this is a good set/price? I buy sets for my son to play with so does anyone know if this is a set that is good for play or is it more of a display set?
