Re: Steal of a Deal / Recent LEGO Purchases
I'm going to drag this back on topic.
I picked up a Galaxy Squad 70702 set tonight at Target for $20.18 after tax. It was marked down to $23.99 and I had a $5 coupon.

I found the set 75005 Rancor Pit for 50% off in the clearence isle at my local Target. There were only two and were hidden behind a few mega bloks sets that were also on sale.

I score a Jabba's Palace at walmart last night for 79.00. Just could not pass it up at that price.

I bought the Avengers' ship (6869) for $44.09 from yoyo.com right before they got rid of their 30% coupon. :)

My local Walmart had Friends Pet Salon and City Pool on clearance for half off. They had a TON of both sets so I picked up e of each. Left plenty on the shelf. The other 4 Walmart stores close by had them for MSRP so I didn't start a new thread since its YMMV.

Found a MISB Ninjago Destiny's Bounty for $35 off craigslist a couple of days ago. The kids wanted to open it though so I didn't get to keep it sealed :( But the smiles on their faces was worth it!

I found 3 boxes of Queen Anne's Revenge on clearance for 39.99 as well as a Battle of Helm's Deep for 29.99 at a local Walmart. They had opened a container from last year and put a bunch of old stuff on super clearance. I think it was done in error. Other sets I saw but didn't buy went back to more normal clearance prices a couple days later.

They let you buy ~2.718 sets? That's pretty sweet.Galahad2309 wrote:They had a TON of both sets so I picked up e of each.

Very nice, these types of finds are always a great surprise.LowestFormOfWit wrote:I found 3 boxes of Queen Anne's Revenge on clearance for 39.99 as well as a Battle of Helm's Deep for 29.99 at a local Walmart. I found Ewok attack for $1.56 and the Sith Nightspeeder for $3.56 at Target.

Care to post a receipt? Otherwise I'd have to call you a liar.starfire2 wrote:I found Ewok attack for $1.56 and the Sith Nightspeeder for $3.56 at Target.
Re: Steal of a Deal / Recent LEGO Purchases
Those prices do seem a little odd for target. Even @ 90% off clearance, Ewok would be $1.99.CrazyRus wrote:Care to post a receipt? Otherwise I'd have to call you a liar.starfire2 wrote:I found Ewok attack for $1.56 and the Sith Nightspeeder for $3.56 at Target.
Maybe he meant K-mart? They have weird prices like that.
Be nice Crazy
I just picked up an SDCC Phoenix for $86! Will go next to Bizaro ;)
I have mixed feelings about new releases: I can't wait to see and get the new sets... but I can't figure out where I'm gonna put them or store them.

Re: Steal of a Deal / Recent LEGO Purchases
I bought the following on clearance carts at a local Walmart (the same Walmart I mentioned earlier):
-Five (5) boxes of 9472 - Attack on Weathertop for $20.00 a box
-Two (2) boxes of 9445 - Fangpyre Truck Ambush for $15.00 a box
-One (1) box of 9474 - The Battle of Helm's Deep for $25.00
This Walmart's insane clearance stickers are driving me bonkers. I don't know how they authorize it. I have to get a CSM to the register every time, but they take care of it.

Re: Steal of a Deal / Recent LEGO Purchases
I wish I could find Weathertop on that kind of clearance/sale. Even if it wasn't that low of a price but a similar percentage off crappy Canadian MSRP.
