People will build up their feedbacks with small purchases. They have only been a member of ebay since april of 2011. You would be covered by ebay, but this seems to good to be true. Let us know if you get it ....

I picked up four Series 5 CMFs today from TRU with my $10 Geoffrey's Bucks coupon/gift certificate/whatever. Final price after tax, $2.08. Which comes out to $0.52 each. Not bad, eh?

Every sale says "private", can't you usually click on a link to see the item sold? It looks fishy to me, I bet the seller set up other accounts to give positive feedback.

Considering there are "Businesses" out there that create a "Business Name, Tax ID, and years of financial history" to sell for people who want to start up a new business, I would venture to say I'm SURE there are 'sellers' in Hong Kong that create Ebay accounts, fill them with quick easy feedback, then sell the accounts.

Hence why I make it a rule to NEVER buy ANYTHING that is being sold from Hong Kong.
I have mixed feelings about new releases: I can't wait to see and get the new sets... but I can't figure out where I'm gonna put them or store them.

That's what I noticed as well. And just about every feedback giver appears about five times.

Once again, I grabbed all the cans and bottles at work and took them to a place that recycles them for bottle deposit AND sells legos (Fred Meyer.) Netted $9.90 in deposit returns, and got 7049 Alien Striker and 3365 Space Moon Buggy for $.05 each.

My wife found a great deal on Craig's list:

$90 7690 MB-01 Eagle Command Base
$11 3178 Seaplane
$13 3179 Repair Truck
$20 3180 Tank Truck
$100 7633 Construction Site
$90 7744 Police Headquarters
$60 7945 Fire Station
$40 8403 City House
$45 5891 Apple Tree House
$60 6754 Family Home
$35 4996 Beach House
$45 7743 Police Command Center
$15 7281 T-Junction & Curved Road Plates
$15 7281 T-Junciton & Curved Road Plates

Total MSRP: $639

The sets look complete and there's also a large bin of loose bricks. Total paid was $350.

My kids have a bunch of these sets already, and I wasn't looking to spend $350, but I've wanted the Construction Site, Family Home, and Tank Truck for a while now, and we needed more roadplates, and those alone would be over $200 so getting all the rest for another $150 was a no brainer. The police station and fire station are great parts packs if nothing else.

Internet ate my post. Here I try again.

Found the Republic Frigate at Target today at the clearance endcap. two crushed boxes at $83.98ea, brought one to the service desk to have a better look and all was there, though the papers got mashed pretty well, though servicable. It would be nice if the bags had an inventory instead of 1,1,2,2,3,3,4,5,6.

Found a 7641 City Corner on the shelf at Target; haven't seen one there for a while so I looked for a shelf sticker. No sticker to be found so I took it to a price scanner, where it rang up at $14.98. I blinked and scanned it again: $14.98. Took it to another scanner: yup, $14.98. So then I took it to checkout, where my luck held.

Great deal on the City Corner! That's one of the sets that I have one of, but I'd love to have another (especially at that price). Lots of great pieces with the windows and doors, large plates, etc. I think I got mine for around $40, and it was worth every penny, so enjoy it at $15!

bought from private sale

value, US retail, what I paid, set number - set
150, 100, 65, 6211 - Imperial Star Destroyer
65, 80, 40, 10174 - Imperial AT-ST UCS
250, 120, 70, 10134 - Y-Wing Attack Starfighter UCS
130, 100, 70, 4483 - AT AT Walker
135, 90, 60, 7261 - Clone Turbo Tank
28, 40, 15, 7259 - ARC - 170 Starfighter
85, 50, 35, 7260 - Wookie Catamaran
35, 30, 15, 4478 - Geonosian Fighter
85, 30, 20, 4501 - Mos Eisley Cantina
36, 40, 20, 4500 - Rebel Snowspeeder (x2)
10, 10, 5, 7250 - Clone Scout Walker
18, 20, 5, 7263 - Tie Fighter
13, 15, 5, 7252 - Droid Tri-Fighter
55, 40, 20, 7256 - Jedi Starfighter & Vulture Droid (x2)

$1095, $745, $445

I estimated the individual values based on low range of bricklink given none had boxes. Deal was for the total price of $445 - I just broke it down per set to see what sort of discount was on a set basis - this was my logic check to justify paying the negotiated price of $445, which is 58% of us retail (equivalent to 42% off) and 41% of market value.

I got 10176, Royal Castle for $56 from a local Lego specialty store. It was used, but in great condition, with box and instructions. I'd had my eye on that one for a while, and had even thought about picking up the cool baseplate from the same store for $20. My girlfriend's a castle set collector and was just thrilled by it.

Good day. Good day.

We could not arrange a time to meet, so she left them in front of her house and gave me her address. she insisted that she want nothing for them since her kids where all lout of the house. I went not knowing what to expect. It was 145 lbs!

Picked up the 10212 UCS Imperial Shuttle off TRU.com today.

Originally $260 USD
-20% facebook coupon (-$52)
-$40 on total of $150 or more (-$40)
-$61 on a gift card
-Free shipping
-----------------
Total $120 (includes sales tax)

I am super-excited about building this one. One of my favorite Imperial ships from the original trilogy. Was looking for an excuse to get it, and this was a great opportunity.

How did you get the FB coupon to apply along with the $40 off on $150? I tried it a few times and I could only get it to do one or the other, but not both.

I called TRU customer support because it wasn't working for me either. The guy told me there was problems with the the promos and you can't have the Harry Potter polybag AND the $40 off $150+ at the same time. You have to remove the Harry Potter set that gets added automatically and then both the $40 off and 20% coupon will work. No way to add it the poly bag back in, but I figure the savings are worth it. Hope that helps!
