[USA] Target January 2012 Clearance Finds

I was watching the inventory of the local Target in New Jersey, they had a ton of stuff. I visited every Wednesday since Christmas, and last week the Scorpion Pyramid rang up "item not found." I aksed a store clerk how much this was, he checked and said $49.98. I asked when this would drop to 70% off, he said it never would, all items would be removed from the shelves shortly. He offered to sell it for 70 % off, which I gladly took. Great deal, and the clerk was pretty cool for helping out.

The bad news... I figured that only the Scorpion Pyramid would be removed, so I didn't even ask about the other sets they had (Atlantis stuff, battle packs, Advent Calenders). I came back the next day and everything was gone! I likely could have gotten 70 % off of everything. Thrilled I got the Scorpion Pyramid, though.

They might be starting a second round of clearance for some of the SW stuff. I visited one Target yesterday that had some Grievous starfighters at 30% off. I'm gonna keep checking in throughout the week to see if any of the others get discounted, like the Republic Frigate or Bounty Hunter Gunship.

They had a lot of Games at 50% off at the Target in Newburgh, NY. I grabbed Creationary, but they had the Hogwarts game, the Ninjago game and a bunch of Heroica as well.

They also had a couple of copies of General Grievous' Starfighter for 30% off. Hopefully it'll see its way to 50% off.

Well visited the same Target today and found two Turbo Tanks at half off! I picked up one but left the other there. They also still had two Grievous Starfighters at 30% off (35 each). They still have a bunch off POTC, HP and seom old city stuff too. They may be cutting those soon. Ill have to keep an eye out. I didn't think to check the games, guess ill do that tomorrow.

Saw a normal shelf tag for the Alien Conquest Jet Copter for $12.98 (empty shelves though). Wonder if it's a price mistake. They wouldn't honor the Batwing set for $29.99 a few weeks ago.

target by me had one lone police copter for 4.98! I picked it up to go with the police headquarters I got for 49 at walmart. They also has some sw tank thing( big possibly blue?) reg price 129.99 on cler for 89.99 in case anyones interested.

I saw one lone SW Turbo Tank for $100.98, which is 30% off that store's marked up price of $143.99 I'm hoping more Legos will be clearanced soon at Target.

Man that is about as steep a markup or maybe even more than TRU! Definitely wait for it at 50%! MSRP on that set is 119.00. You might be able to talk someone into picking one up for you at 50% (60.00)now, if you are willing to pay shipping or close enough to meet up with them.

My favorite thing at Target (almost NO discounts after mark down day) was I found a random Atlantis Angler attack. I thought maybe it would 70% off or just Salvage, which I have not been able to convince people to sell these finds to me. I scanned: $19.99. MSRP! Nuts, really nuts.

Picked up a couple sets today at Clackamas Promenade here in Portland. Got a PotC Captains Cabin for $1.64 and a PotC Mill for $6.04! They also had a couple of space shuttles for $20, a HP Forbidden Forest for $8.94 and a Cars Tokyo Pit Stop for $12.64.

Also checked Cascade Station, but all they had was a Police heli for $6ish, and that didn't pique my interest.

Well in SoCal, almost every single Target I have visited has General Grievous' Starfighter (8095) on clearance. I have checked their scanners and all but 1 has had it on clearance. Now, the hard part is finding any in stock. Many of the online sites and instore price checkers says they are in stock, but when I go, they never have them. I was lucky enough to find one last night in a store for $25 that said they didn't have any online.

I was in Target today and I found a few LEGO Friends on clearance for 30% off.
I got 2 of the Butterfly Beauty Shop and 2 of the City Park Cafe! Anyone else seen anything like this? It was quite surprising to me since the Friends are new for 2012!

Yeah, I just saw this too. My Target (Cheyenne, WY) also had the tree house set, in addition to the ones you mentioned. I looked at the girls section and found the rest of the line, but at regular price. Of course, I had to ask my mom if she wanted any.

My wife went back to the Newburgh, NY Target for other stuff and they had only one Grievous Starfighter left, still 30% off. She grabbed it. I didn't want to miss out on the off chance that I'd save $10.

In my experience in Southern California, Target clearance mostly goes to 30% where Walmart tends to go to 50%. At least that's been my experience. Anyone else concur?

Only target LEGO I found 50% off was the police copter for 4.98 as someone else posted. Space shuttles 30% off at some and most remaining inventory full price.

Found one lone series 4 minifigure in the Lego aisle. Was marked $.76 but the cashier scanned it and put it in my bag without noticing that it didn't scan at all.

Care to share where you got the Gen Grievous for $25? I only want the figure but for that price I will pick one up. Also I tend to go to Targets and look for the clearance aisle. Most of them no longer have these aisles. Did you find the Grievious with other SW? or in the clearance aisle. Thanks.

In my recent experience, any new clearance stuff in Target is usually just mixed in with the usual stuff on shelf. A week ago, I found 2 SW Turbo Tanks on the Lego aisle. They had a clearance tag on the shelf and stickers on the box showing the new price. I got lucky and they were 50% off.
