[USA] Wal-Mart Clearance

I just checked my local Walmart's clearance and found a 7674 V-19 Torrent for $30. I have never before even seen this set in the store, so either they're displaying old stock or someone returned a MISB set. At first I thought it was a newly released set and checked for it in the Lego isle.

That would be a nice surprise to find.

Why is it that almost nobody post the location of the walmart where they scored? It would help other people identify where to go or where to avoid. And we don't have to post questions for those location and then waiting for replies. Save everybody's time and effort, guys!!

I believe for many it is to prevent hoarding and taking items they are waiting to discount more in the clearance aisle. People are more comfortable with PMs to prevent this.

a lot of us just put our location in or profile Foote this purpose. I don't specify a specific location as I usually check all the locations in my city. if anyone wants a specific location I would expect them to ask or pm only because i've never seen anyone request a specific location here , but I think i'm the only T&B poster in my city

If i came across as an obnoxious SOB, my apologies to you guys. But i would like to point out that if we have a city & state in our profile, then that's sufficient for me. However, from what i have seen, only a state or even "USA" is listed and that really doesn't say much :(

I agree. The black helicopters are not gonna come get you for posting on T&B, so you should put your city and state to help others... We are a community that is supposed to help one another no?

^ and ^^, I think for some of us it is a privacy issue. I don't mind telling people what state I live in, but I prefer not to put my city in my profile.....just sayin' (and I don't want my neighbors to know I'm a crazy LEGO addict) I suppose I could change it to the closest metropolitan city near me...but I try and list the store I frequent, but I never find deals at Walmart so it's not relevant anyway

Saturday I found a Police Chase 3648 at Walmart marked 12.40. It was one of the only lego sets on clearance.

Well, I was all excited when I saw a SW Turbo Tank, AC Copter and SW Darth Maul sitting in the Lego aisle, then I got an associate to scan the Turbo Tankand it was back to MSRP:(

I really don't know why Walmart returns clearanced items back to MSRP. It just seems so illogical.

Update: I stopped by the same Walmart again a few days later. Since all the self price checkers were taken down, I had to lug the Lego sets over to the electronics checkout to get price checks. Well, it was worth it. The 3 sets previously mentioned were clearanced

I found two 3315 Olivia's House at my local walmart for half off in the clearance aisle . Other than that i have no luck finding any other lego on clearance in the Walmarts in my town.

Quite disappointed that The Black Pearl is not discounted considering they had stacks of them for $99.97. I did however find a couple of Luke Landspeeders at full price. Haven't seen them for a while!

FBTB users ufjason and mapleleaf251 are reporting more 50% off clearance finds on SW (Millenium Falcon and Turbo Tank) sets in the Atlanta, GA area and Columbus, OH areas. May be another round of clearence, so check your local Wallys!

Maybe YMMV? Coincidentally I was in IL all (4/21) day checking Walmarts and didn't find any deal that good.

I went by a local Walmart and found 2 Police stations 7498 for 49.00. I about a month ago at this same walmart i found 7288 mobile police unit for 21.00.

Went by Walmart this morning and found a Hagrid Hut with no shelf tag. Just for fun, I scanned it and it was $19.00. They didn't have much Lego sitting on the shelf though.

I found one lone Forbidden Forest for $5. Also picked up a few Freeing Dobby sets for $3! This was at the Copper Creek location in Markham, Ontario. This was by far the deepest clearance prices I have ever found in a Canadian Walmart lol

Went looking for Hagrid's Hut and found a Hogwarts with a shelf-tag price of $64. One of the tapes was loose, but I checked the contents, and it was complete. Score!

Went to about 8 different Walmarts yesterday, not much to be had. One store even had massive inventory on nearly all the big sets(some OOP), not a single deal to be found. My best find was from my closest store to me ironically. I found another midi scale Star Destroyer $19 and SW Hoth with the Wampa 8089 $31 (not 50% off, but it's OOP and I wanted it badly). I guess I missed those when I was there a month ago and found a few small leftovers from the beginning of the year. I've had much better luck with Kmart sales. Walmart is too random(I want a 50% off MF!!!), probably best during the predictable clearance times.

Dropped by Wal-Mart today but the only clearace sets I found were all of the $10 Friends sets for $5 each.

Was able to find a Harbor(4645) for $45. Nothing anywhere else.

I bought 2 AC Jet-copter Encounters today at Walmart. This was one that I usually don't find too many deals at and has a large Lego section. This is the first time I saw any AC on clearance at this Walmart, but none of the other AC sets were on clearance. Check your Walmarts again because they may be trying to make room for new sets due out in the coming months.
