Same thing here, didn't have the nerve to go through with it because no indication the set I wanted was "eligible"

Re: [US] B&N Black Friday sale
Lol wow...talk about lame. I had B&N and Lego S@H running at the same time counting down to 12am. Got the S@H done (will call to get the promo set included, the additional 10% off, and the free shipping later on) then was running through the B&N set trying to figure how it worked.GuaranteedUnity wrote:Eligible items will be tagged "50% Off Toy Offer details" when you click through, although there is a an index of eligible toys, which you can filter to only show eligible LEGO.
Yeeaaaaah, no actual LEGO sets -- just clocks, watches, radios and other non-set items.
Very disappointed.
Hopefully folks have better luck in-store, but my closest store is 80 miles away... :(
Disappointing but meh, saved me money which is a good thing.

Re: [US] B&N Black Friday sale
So there is no coupon to print and take to the store. The store will not have the lego marked as discounted and therefore we can't get at the 50% off. Sucks!!

Re: [US] B&N Black Friday sale
I only saw two eligible Kre-O sets, and while I'm quite interested in the Kreon minifigs, I just can't justify the cost of buying a whole set -- even at 50% off -- for them.jsnweitzel wrote:I just tried adding a Kreo set and the discount was automatic. So Lego is excluded but Kreo is ok.
Still, it might not all be a complete loss:-
I didn't try it on LEGO, but there is a 30% off coupon that folks might be able to use instead. It's not as impressive a discount, and the online selection of sets is pretty weak, but should work and may even stack with other discounts (if you have them) if I read it right.

Tested the 30% off coupon with Robie House, doesn't apply.GuaranteedUnity wrote:I only saw two eligible Kre-O sets, and while I'm quite interested in the Kreon minifigs, I just can't justify the cost of buying a whole set -- even at 50% off -- for them.jsnweitzel wrote:I just tried adding a Kreo set and the discount was automatic. Re: [US/CA] Lego Black Friday Deals 2011
anyone having luck with the barnes and noble 50% off? i've been trying the falcon and having no luck.
Re: [US/CA] Lego Black Friday Deals 2011
50% off only works on "select" items. it's a bust! here's a link: http://www.barnesandnoble.com/s?cat=102 ... &view=griddoodlebird wrote:anyone having luck with the barnes and noble 50% off? i've been trying the falcon and having no luck.

Well its not working for any LEGO set online right now, so yes. BnN can go screw themselves.hardtravelinghero wrote:This makes me wonder, is the BF 50% sale good in-stores only?starfire2 wrote:My BN isn't opening until 8:00am

Re: [US/CA] Lego Black Friday Deals 2011
I ordered the kreo transformers optimius prime set - the best one for that line. One of the rare times its more expensive in US than in canada ($70 vs $60) but at 50% off, you have to find one in canada for at least 35% off to match and these are hard to find past 25% off in Canada.

Yup - I agree with the last few comments. B&N seems to be completely off the map for LEGO - at least for online purchases. Disappointing!

Lego is included in-store. No member discount though.

You already tried??? So...I don't need a coupon???brixter wrote:Lego is included in-store. No member discount though.
Re: [US] B&N Black Friday sale
Mission accomplished. Works in-store. No coupon. No limit. Just one per transaction. Grab item, wait in line, pay for item, repeat. Doesn't work on Architecture sets as suspected.
Re: [US] B&N Black Friday sale
Also, if you're going to spend a bunch, they still have the buy $100 in gift cards get $10 gift card free. You can use the $100 immediately, and the $10 after Xmas.

Re: [US] B&N Black Friday sale
I went to B&N in Owings Mills, MD and got the Scorpion Pyramid and Queen Anne's Revenge (last one!), both for the member 10% off then 50% off that reduced price, so about $45.00 and $54.00 respectively, plus tax. Trick is to go with people in case the clerks won't let you buy more than one item. Clerks either don't know or don't care if you use the same membership card over and over. Plus, I started with buying a $100.00 gift card which got me a free $10.00 gift card good after 12/26.
The 30% off coupon is not good for an additional 30% off, but it didn't hurt to try.

Store in Orlando on Colonial. Got the QAR, last one. Got two Jedi Shuttles, last two. TONS of Battle packs there, tons of BH Gunships, other misc. SW sets, POC, and others. You can only get one item at a time. So my wife and I had to go, grab a couple, then leave and come back. I hate doing this to her and B&N employees, but the deal is too good. Might have to go back later!!

YEP GUYS THIS IN STORE IS GREAT. TIME TO GO SHOPPING CANT BE 50% LEGOSSSS
Re: [US] B&N Black Friday sale
Sucks that they're giving 50% off LEGO sets in store, but not online.
Re: [US] B&N Black Friday sale
I was disappointed last night when I found out that I could not use the 50% discount online. I decided to go to a store this morning and I was lucky and found a Republic Frigate. Thank you to brixter for posting that this deal worked in store.
