Maersk Train finally at TRU.com but with a $10 markup. With the $25 off promo, it'll be $105.

Sucks how you have to remove the vulture droid to get the discount.UnknownUser wrote:SW sets are actually eligible (online at least) for discount as of this writing....

[USA] TRU 7965 Falcon and 7964 Frigate ~40% off
Toysrus.com has the 7965 Millenium Falcon for $87.49 (Normal MSRP 139.99, so 37% off)
Also the 7964 Republic Frigate is $72.49 (Normal MSRP $119.99, so 40% off).
To get these prices:
1) Add item to cart
2) Remove all freebies (you may have to do this multiple times to remove the vulture droid and magnet)
3) For the Frigate add a filler to get to $100 (like a Series 5 minifig)
4) $25 off discount should now reflect in cart

Has anyone tried this in-store? I know Star Wars is supposed to be excluded from this deal.

looks like you have to use the pick up instore option for this to work instead of free shipping, at least that's how i got it to work.indelible wrote:use coupon 947271 for $10 off instead

If you're willing to buy-and-return a larger filler, you can get 7962 Podracers for $46.24 + tax. I used the Swamp Speeder to break the $100 barrier for $25 off and free shipping.

The in-store pickup was the part I couldn't figure out on my own - thanks for the tip! Just got the Falcon for $72.91, since I used the $10 gift card from the first week of Bricktober. Not bad! :)
Re: [USA] TRU 7965 Falcon and 7964 Frigate ~40% off
Already got a Falcon at about $90... couldn't resist getting a 2nd one for $82 after tax.
I have mixed feelings about new releases: I can't wait to see and get the new sets... but I can't figure out where I'm gonna put them or store them.

Apply $10 off code 947271 which stacks on the $25 deal (but it will negate the free shipping) If you have a local TRU store, they have free pick up on lots of sets.

Topics merged.
Re: [USA] Toysrus Brickober Week 4 Oct 23-29
btw, this deal made it to slickdeals front page. expect your local tru store to sell out soon.
Re: [USA] Toysrus Brickober Week 4 Oct 23-29
Both discounts worked for me. Bought the Millenium Falcon for local pickup and got it for $84.69 after taxes. Awesome!!!
Re: [USA] Toysrus Brickober Week 4 Oct 23-29
Went to go pick up my Falcon, and tried to weasel a Vulture Droid poly out of them, but unfortunately my store didn't have any :( The Store Manager did toss in 3 of the 4 Bricktober Magnets though, so I was stoked. That's why it's a good idea to get friendly with your staff ;)
I had my $5 TRU Bucks I wanted to use, and I had a $10 off $100 that I was gonna try to stack... was gonna try for a Hoth Base, but didn't even try to sneak a SW sale through the store. Decided I would use it to get the Red Cargo Train for 25% off after the $25, $10, and $5... but the $10 off coupon required the purchase to be made with a TRU Credit Card, which I don't have... boo. Oh well, 20% off the Red Cargo aint bad.... could to better, but I don't have to fuss with trying to match it up during a BOGO now.
After I got home, decided I would play with the site and check out the Hoth Base.. added 2 CMF5's, but they tried to charge me $5+ for shipping for them (added the $10 off coupon from above for store pickup on the Base). Scratched that and added the $6.99 Ninjago set, and viola... both set for store pickup for like $72. If I can return the Ninjago set without any issues (because of the $10 off), then I got the Base for $59.99 (34% off).

This comes along just when I swore I wasn't going to buy any more... Picked up an MF for $83.88 incl taxes (77.49 before taxes). My 5 yr old son is going to go ape when he opens this up on Christmas! (If I can keep it hidden from myself until then...) Thanks to cbaker1974 and indelible for giving us the heads-up on this one!
