Just spent 100$. Maybe will spend another 100$ in a few days to see if they allow me to get 2 of the little sets.
Re: [US/CA] Shop@Home FREE Shipping & Holiday Set w/$99
Huh, funny, I didn't expect it to be a boxed set, either! Nice presentation.

I thought it was in a polybag, too. Never imagine lego freebie was packed in a box set.
Both these two box sets would be nice element adding into modular/creator house. No way to miss it.

I went today to get my holiday set...it really is a nice presentation in the box. "MSRP" is $9.99 per the receipt...98 pieces....for those looking on Ebay.
ETA: I was not offered the Apple set as well...didn't ask either though....got caught up in the whole holiday set thing
Also today, October 18th you get a free PotC Poster with purchase and can enter to win a copy of the just released PotC DVD...poster is kind of useless, but if you like PotC and need to make a purchase.

Heading to the LEGO Store now. For some reason, because it's in a box, I really want it! No idea what I will spend $100 on. Maybe the VW camper.

Ah, this is always such a horrible and wonderful time of year. This month I've already picked up Brandenburg Gate, Diagon Alley, Robie House, Volkswagen T1 Camper Van and Winter Village Post Office, and racked up nearly 1500 VIP points and $70 in rewards. Part 1 of this holiday set is on its way, and I'm on my way to pick up the last of the four Bricktober magnets without spending a cent extra for any of them.
My wallet's giving me a funny look right now, but it'll thank me when it sees the resale values in a couple years!

Here's the other half of the set for Black Friday

I really like the look of both sets.
I waited until free shipping and placed an order this week. It was a good time to pick up the Winter Post Office and a few other things to get free shipping, double vip points, and the free holiday set.

Woah, what's got Santa so ticked off? Did you give him 1% milk instead of 2%? These little sets are great. Hopefully they have some kind of deal going on when the second set comes out.ThunderFighter wrote:Here's the other half of the set for Black Friday

Re: [US/CA] Shop@Home FREE Shipping & Holiday Set w/$99
Why go to the mall? I'm sure it'll be available online as well. They'd better give out free Death stars for me to subject myself to a trip to a mall on BF
Re: [US/CA] Shop@Home FREE Shipping & Holiday Set w/$99
Well last year on BF, Lego was giving up a scratch off Roulette discount up to like 30 or 50% off. That is my incentive to be in a Lego store that day rather than buy online.
I have mixed feelings about new releases: I can't wait to see and get the new sets... but I can't figure out where I'm gonna put them or store them.

Yep, looks like they are getting 25 smackers for it.macmon wrote:Just like the Xmas set.. Does ebay have it already
Why do we drive on a parkway and park on a driveway?
Re: [US/CA] Shop@Home FREE Shipping & Holiday Set w/$99
It's amazing that there are actually people out there buying it for that price...

Well, one way to look at it is that they're only spending $25 as opposed to $100. Could be a case where they just might not have any big purchases lined up at the moment.harry99 wrote:It's amazing that there is actually people out there buying it for that price...

Just got a 10% coupon in the mail for LEGO Store. Definitely going back to grab something and get the holiday set, plus double VIP points. Love this time of year!
Re: [US/CA] Shop@Home FREE Shipping & Holiday Set w/$99
I'm with Blacknight. I feel like I've between the winter village, advent calendars and polybags I've seen a lot of Christmas trees over the past few years. And this would be the least impressive of the bunch. I'll pass on this one.Blacknight wrote:Pretty lame tree though.

So I made an order for the Imperial Flagship (which is like over $200 Canadian, well over the $99 requirement for the holiday promo set) back on like October 27th. I received my order today which had the Imperial Flagship but no holiday promo set came with it. I have emailed Lego customer service to see if they can do anything about it.
