I thought lee summit store is long gone. Any other sets left?
Re: Borders to liquidate entire inventory
Got a HP Knight Bus for around $24 with tax at the Folsom CA store since there's the additional 15% for Borders plus members. They had several more, but little else. Tons of CMF series 4, but I think the sign said $2.79 and no additional discounts. Nice.
They don't actually care about scanning the BR card, so they might just take your word for it.

I was at the Providence Place Borders today. 6-8 Atlantis Brickmaster "books",1 pirate Brickmaster, 5 USB sticks, a couple brick Alarm Clocks, CD players, 2 Woody's round ups.
Empty box of series 4 CMF. All Architecture and other sets gone.

Very few pretty wiped out from Friday to Monday. I think the most common set left was the rise of the sphinx. Maybe 5 of those.

Now 50%...
Re: Borders to liquidate entire inventory
Which means whatever's left is about the same price it was on Monday for Borders Rewards members, if the extra 15% deal is over now.GuaranteedUnity wrote:Now 50%...

Yep. Seems to be the trend -- some bonus sale Monday-Wednesday, and then the norm on Thursday.
But weren't all stores supposed to close before September?
Still tons of merchandise at my local, but next to no Lego as of this past Sunday, and I don't expect that to have drastically changed (although I did notice they were getting new shipments of Best Lock and Mega Bloks).

Re: Borders to liquidate entire inventory
Does your store have a ton of junk besides the Best Lock/Mega Bloks?...ours had blankets, PERFUME, tote bags, coffee mugs, and other crap that Borders never sold in the past. The sales person said the liquidator was bringing in more random stock. I think the liquidator is using the location and draw of the Borders sale to get rid of all sorts of miscellaneous stuff.GuaranteedUnity wrote:Still tons of merchandise at my local, but next to no Lego as of this past Sunday, and I don't expect that to have drastically changed (although I did notice they were getting new shipments of Best Lock and Mega Bloks).

Yes, tons of junk that I wouldn't ordinarily have expected at a Borders (I mean, c'mon... microwavable, perfumed teddy bears. Really? REALLY?!)
On the LEGO front, all that's left at mine is a bunch of Minotauruses, Ninjago spinners, and some SW Visual Dictionaries. I imagine they won't last until the next price drop (assuming the stores even stay open that long...)

The westlake borders had 3 duplu pooh sets. The only other bricks they had were knock-offs
Re: Borders to liquidate entire inventory
So is Borders gone yet? Any sweet deals happen in the past week (doubt it)?

Re: Borders to liquidate entire inventory
Liquidation discount is now 60%, so if you can actually find LEGO at your store, it should qualify as a pretty sweet deal (Hogwarts Castle would be a mere $60 ).
Shame my store is long cleared out of everything but clone brands.
I think the stores are into their final two weeks, but there was also news last week of some East coast stores getting a reprieve thanks to a buy out by Books-A-Million.
I would have much preferred a B&N, but...
