the code also cancels the free shipping for some reason so if shipping is more than $10, it would be better to not use coupon unfortunately, unless there is a glitch in the system.

Unfortunately you can only use one promo code - free shipping OR $10 off $50. So if you are able to do "in-store pick-up", you can get $10 off but not pay shipping.

Not all items qualify for in-store pick-up and it depends on your store's inventory, but it's worth a shot.
