Keep in mind that this applies to Series 4 minifigures as well.

And, if the online info on TRU.com is to be believed, it would seem that in addition to the Pirates of the Caribbean sets, some B&M TRU should also have new summer sets from Alien Conquest, Kingdoms, City (Harbor) and also the City of Atlantis (7985) that was technically released last year, but is only now coming to the USA.

My local TRU had all the PotC sets minus Fountain of Youth.

I went in the morning (shortly after store opening) by myself and then again later in the afternoon with my kids, and by the afternoon, the S4 minifigs had almost cleared out and all that was left of the PotC selection were the two most expensive sets.

The sale does apply to S3 and S4 minifigures. I checked out 3 times...once for just minifigures, once for two small sets and once for 2 Fun Favor packs. I figured if I tried to buy them all in one batch only the minifigs would go 1/2 price.

No PotC or other new sets at my TRU (Dedham, MA). I don't think they were ever on the shelves b/c there were no shelf stickers for them and they weren't there on Friday.

I visited the TRU near me, and once again they haven't received any of the new sets! So I when online to grabbed the sets and get take advantage of the free shipping for orders over $75, but of course TRU has to add a few rules to keep you from getting the maxium discount: "Maximum 1 discount per order" which means I put 4 items in my cart but only 1 of them is half off!

On vacation. Just saw in the Jensen Beach TRU that there are a bunch of sets on clearance that I think are also eligible for the BOGO50% including Garage. They also had a half box of CMF Ser3 and a couple boxes of CMF Ser4

On the online weekly ad page 6 it shows that the 2519 LEGO Ninjago Skeleton Bowling is for $29.99...I went to the store and it scans at $34.99..I wonder if they will give me for $29.99 + BOGO 50% off? I wonder if the printed ad is showing as $34.99..

Seems like Toys R Us is marking up the price. :? You should be able to get it for $29.99 plus BOGO because its all in the flier along with the FREE NinjaGo Skeleton Chopper.

The online flier should be the same as the printed one.

TRU generally raises the price on all their Lego. The best time to get the sets is within the first couple weeks of release when they still have the items listed at MSRP.

You don't have to check out separately, the computer automatically selects the next most expensive item as the 1/2 off. For instance I bought the $20 Ninjago spinner, an $18 grey base-plate (they qualify) and a ton of the series 4 minifigs and it took the base-plate as half off (and of course every other minifig.) Hard to beat the deal on the Series 4 minifigs, comes out to $2.25 each. I had to ask for them though, they had run out and had an 'extra' box in the back because they were giving them away as a promotion the week before and 'had been sent a ton, much more than normal.'

Also they said you couldn't combine the deals, so even if I'd bought $40 worth of Ninjago I wouldn't qualify for the freebe or I'd have to not use those items that qualified for the BOG 50% off.

Both the minifigs and the Ninjago stuff I bought was MSRP, tried to avoid the TRU "tax" of MSRP+

So just got back from Toys R Us... Murry store in Utah. They had the tags for POTC on the shelf for the 2 sets I wanted... Isla de la Muerta and Fountain of Youth both at $19.99. When I went to get them they rang up at $21.99... told the cashier and she told me to go and get the tags. Went back up and she maked them down to $19.99 and then told me the total would be $40 something. I told her they were buy one get one 50% off and she said that POTC were excluded. Back to the lego isle and bring up the sign that doesn't say anywhere on there that POTC are excluded so she made another adjustment. Finally gave her a $5 off a purchase above $25 coupon and she said that because they were on sale at BOGO 50% off they couldn't honor the $5 off. Talked to the manager and got the additional $5 off.

What a pain for a minor savings. But got them both for about $14 each when all was said and done.
