It's a shame that MMV is not available online; I guess they haven't (and won't) get any stock in now that it's discontinued?
I wonder how % savings is distributed via the scratch cards. If I could get at least 20% off, I would consider picking up some of the remaining Pirates sets, but with my luck I'll only get 5% (or maybe even forget to ask for a scratch card ;) ).

Can someone who's seen the cards before explain how they work?
1) Is the discount applied to all items in the purchase? Is it for just LEGO, or for all items on a $50+ purchase?
2) If I hit the jackpot and got a good card, I doubt they'd let me put my transaction on hold and do some more shopping, but is it down in the rules that they can stop me from doing that?
So, perhaps the best strategy is just to go up to the counter with everything that I'd be ready to buy at a good discount, and then abandon any items I'm less inclined to buy if I get a poor card?

The scratch card can be anything instore excluding videogame hardware, Apple items, iTunes cards, gift cards, special orders and Buyer Protection Plan.
I wouldn't hope for a 50% card too much. You'll probably only get 5%. If your lucky, you might get 10% which unforunately still can't pay the tax. :( (unless of course, your from AB).

In fact I am in Alberta. Too bad about video game hardware...no cheap 3DS for me!
I'll probably stop by TRU on Sunday, just to see what they've got. Maybe I'll pick up some 2011 Creator for the heck of it. Too bad they don't have Supercar yet, or I'd have a real reason to go in.

Don't forget to ask for the $10 off $50 LEGO Savings Card (if they still have it). ;)

Good call, thanks for the reminder. I wonder if the scratch cards are stackable with 20% off Kingdoms... You didn't mention anything about it excluding sales items.

It should work on sale products. I should mention that the "savings card" also depends on the staff mood and interpretation. Some of them would say that you can only get it during the promotional period while others will just give it to you.
These cards were given out 2 weeks ago claiming you can get it for FREE with ANY LEGO Purchase. But then, some of the cashier apparently can't read and thinks that you need to spend $50 to get the card first. Then when the "valid" time comes, you need to spend another $50 to get $10 off. Kinda lame to be honest.

Ice is right on the money, some staff will try to fight it, but when I recently went, the cashier tried to scan in my $10 coupon and one she had sitting on the counter, It only let her scan one though.

I was at TRU today and saw Lego Stormtrooper & Darth Vader Alarm Clocks price tag on the shelves for $20.15. The regular price is $26.99 so I think its on sale. Unforunately, the clocks were sold out. :(
Lego Watches were also down to $18.65.

Those clocks are a good deal even at $26.99. $20.15 is like half of MSRP in Canada or 33% off MSRP in US! Add to that Free Star Wars Pen with $35, $10 off $50 Savings Card, and Scratch N Save 5-50% with $50, you can probably get it for like $15 each.
The only problem is that I have never seen these clocks after Christmas.

Well, my stores were all picked clean of 2011 Creator and Technic, and even lots of City, but if the 20% off Creator and Technic deal next week is true, that might be for the best. There were a couple of Mon Calamaris, but both of them has enormous holes punched through them, and one of them was even patched up with scotch tape. :S
