For me, I would pick $5 off shipping with ease but that's because I'm not big on key chains anyways.Luciant wrote:Decisions Decisions.... $5 off (shipping), or free key chain ($5 value roughly?)....

I'm thinkin same thing... plus I'm lazy and wouldn't pry the keychain off. And it's not even the good minifigs.Toronadian wrote:For me, I would pick $5 off shipping with ease but that's because I'm not big on key chains anyways.Luciant wrote:Decisions Decisions.... $5 off (shipping), or free key chain ($5 value roughly?)....
I have mixed feelings about new releases: I can't wait to see and get the new sets... but I can't figure out where I'm gonna put them or store them.
Re: [WORLD] LEGOShop.com Double VIP Points: March 2011
The last time I redeemed points (500) on a purchase at the local LEGO store, I earned points on that purchase reflecting the normal price, not the reduced price from applying my VIP points. This surprised me and I was happy.atmail35 wrote:Question - if you redeem VIP points earned during a double points period, you only earn additional points on the amount spent LESS the redemption, is that correct? Do folks generally not redeem VIP points during this promo?
But it was not during a double VIP points offer or on a double points set - although a lot of the points I used had been from Double VIP point sets over time.

Unfortunately I don't see the double points in the UK shop (or other European shops). At checkout it says I've earned 185 points (and I have 185 pounds worth of stuff in my cart).

If i remember right, bonus points don't show up right away.MinifigMan wrote:Unfortunately I don't see the double points in the UK shop (or other European shops). At checkout it says I've earned 185 points (and I have 185 pounds worth of stuff in my cart).
I have inoperable cancer and am unable to work. Any gifts would be appreciated. Thank you!

Is there a current Brickmaster coupon code?
Re: [WORLD] LEGOShop.com Double VIP Points: March 2011
If it's not too much trouble, can you PM me the code too? There are a few small clearance items I'd like to pick up. Thanks!Brickbuilder0937 wrote:Luciant and GruetzmacherD, PM'd

I see the Technics 8070 Supercar is on Lego.com now. Good time for double VIP points.
Re: [WORLD] LEGOShop.com Double VIP Points: March 2011
Can anyone provide insight on what happens if you redeem your VIP points and then return the item? Do they get put back in your account or do you forfeit them? I checked the lego website FAQs but they only really address returns in general (I get it that if I return an item, my VIP points balance would decrease).
The reason I ask is b/c I'm thinking of buying a few things during double points. BUT they are advertising on the calendar that on March 17th you get special savings if you spot the 4 leaf clover.
1) Anyone know what the savings might be?
2) Anyone think it might be better than double VIP points?
I would be willing to buy w/ double points (and use my VIP points) and then return and rebuy on 3/17 if the savings were signicant.
Thanks.

I'm betting that this "if you spot the 4 leaf clover" will be similar to the "scratch off roulette" promotion they had around Christmas time. Basically everyone gets at least 10% off up to 30% off... (I'm betting the 30% off one's will reveal a 4 leaf clover to indicate the 30% special savings).atmail35 wrote: The reason I ask is b/c I'm thinking of buying a few things during double points. Just a theory, but I base this on the assumption Lego doesn't want to create a fenzy/panic over 1 item for 1 person (per Lego store)...

Could be an online/store deal where certain items they want to move have a "clover" leaf. I'm interested in what it will be...I love sales and I just need a nudge to get off the fence and buy a Tantive IV.

Could I please be included in the BM code for March?

My local LEGO shop still had the Winter Bakery on sale for $38. No Death Star in stock, but plenty of Medieval Market Villages. Otherwise, a normal day at the LEGO store - tons of parents and kids. Amazing how busy these shops are.
Re: [WORLD] LEGOShop.com Double VIP Points: March 2011
I was surprised to see at least a dozen last week. I was kind of hoping they'd mark them down further. But it's still full price at S&H.BrickUpdate wrote:My local LEGO shop still had the Winter Bakery on sale for $38.

Quick FYI. Just back from lego store in town and they told me the free shipping for non in store purchases that they offer is only good up to 500 dollars. They said lego will eventually back charge the card for the shipping for large orders.
