TRU (US) Buy one, get one 50% off all Lego (except SW)

I was just in my local TRU This morning and they are running a BOGO 50% off on ALL Lego sets (except Star Wars, but they have 10% off SW sets). The signs say it starts on 2/20, but the promo is live right now in their system and scanning that way. Thought you all would like to know.

Nice find Raincry. I was assuming we were going to see another BOGO50 minus SW from TRU here in the U.S. starting Feb. 20. Now that TnB has been here for a while you can go back a year and look and see that TRU had the exact same sale in 2010. :o

Note: Most U.S. TRU sales begin on Sunday and end on Saturday.

My own personal notes show (Feb 21 - 27 2010 BOGO50 excludes SW, TS, Mindstorms). I've compiled a list of the U.S. B2G1F and BOGO50 and most > 10% sales for over the past year. TRU sales are becoming very predictable. I forecast we'll see the next BOGO50 excluding SW in the U.S. around the week of March 27 2011. ;)

Here's the pic I took in store (I know people like proof! :) )

It shows "2/20 - 2/26", but I did do the scans in store and they have the BOGO 50% line showing up, so it is live now. If not, wait 6 days. :) The SW stuff was also scanning with the 10% off (except for the items that are 25% off now).

Hope we all find something worthwhile!!

so what's the difference between 25% off this week.. and the BOGO 50% next week? is that something worth to be excited about?

25% off on some SW sets. BOGO 50% is for everything but SW. Still better than paying full MSRP or in TRU's case, MSRP plus TRU's added cut.

I stopped by one of the TRU's here in Columbus, Ohio tonight and no BOGO50 sale yet. I even had an employee ring up 2 identical sets but nothing came up in the computer on sale. They did have the 4 SW sets at 25% off mentioned on an earlier post in stock.

Srsly... every time they have one of these, I always get there and the store manager tells me "You should have been here a few hours ago... 2 guys came here and cleaned out almost everything..."

They removed all the good sets from the website just before the sale started, Fire Brigade, Medievil Village, Imperial Flagship, Emerald Night,and Tower Bridge. All these sets were available all week right up until minutes before the sale started. Why not have a 90% off sale on a Lego, and remove everything accept $5.00 duplo sets and charge $7.95 shipping. What Garbage.

Agree...I had Fire Brigade in my cart 5 mins before the sale started...and the Imperial Flagship was available as well. I went to add Imperial Flagship right after the sale started and suddenly it said it was out of stock. However the Fire Brigades were still in my cart, but not with the BOG1/2 pricing applied. I refreshed my cart for the past 2 hours or so, and the item says "in stock" in my cart, but if you go to the item page it says sold out. I could have probably bought the 2 in my cart and called in for price adjustment, but i'm getting a bit sick of what is obviously a bait an switch with this site..."buy one get one half off (unless it is a set someone actually wants)". Wish they would just add those sets to the exclusion list and be done with it.

I did notice that they change system setup gradually. When the sale starts, I put 2 Fire Brigades in my cart and no B1G1 shows up. I removed them, put imperial flagships into the cart and B1G1 price shows up.

You do realize Imperial flagship is the ship from pirate theme. Imperial SHUTTLE from Star Wars might be the one you referred.
