[USA] TRU Buy 2 Get 1 Free on LEGO sets Jan 1st ONLY

Post by oocaleb101oo » Fri Dec 31, 2010 6:06 pm

Just got the email stating "Buy 2 get 3rd Free on ALL Lego Construction sets in store and online. Excludes Star Wars and Pharaoh's Quest"

FYI

EDIT: Come to think of it. If they honor this with Lego minifigures and not just on 3 of them that puts them at averaging $2.66 per figure. That's a decent deal considering lego is at $2.99 and if you're not at one of those places that sells them at $1.99

Checking the TRU website, all of the really nice larger sets are still sold out. Would love to get another Emerald Night (or 3) and the like.

I see that free shipping is working on Series 3 minifigures now.

yes this sale is basically worthless since almost everything is sold out still. Has anyone ever actually used the pickup at store option. Apparently no stores in the entire Phoenix area allow this option.

Picked up 2 of the very small Ninjago sets. Ninja Ambush for 6.99 and Ninja Training outpost for 4.99. No markups on these and I ended up getting an Atlantis set for free. Just a small set.

Also, if anyone was interested in the $9.99 packs, they are at retail and with the buy 2 get 1 free (if the consider these construction sets) You could do todays deal and pretty much get them for $6.66 (DEViL) a piece. Probably the only way you'd get these this cheap unless its at the end of their life.

In my TRU the store was pretty much cleared out for the sale, but fortunately all the new Ninjago sets were in stock and selling at MSRP instead of TRU markups so I picked up three of the Ninja Ambush and three of the Ninja Training Outpost. Good deals for sure. I didn't see any Series three minifigures, but at the price they would have been at and after taxes it wouldn't have been much of a deal for me.

TRU xpress had everything at 70% off at the palisades mall in west nyack. It's a seasonal store, so they are clearing everything out. They had a few lego sets. Might be worth a try if you still have money left.

Interesting. They had one set there that i wanted but they didn't even honor their online pricing because they are a small outfit. I'll drop by and see if they are doing discounts here.

I got my rewards yesterday, so I'll have to go see what's left on the shelves.

Speaking of TRU rewards... I just got 18 - $5.00 coupons... can they be combined ? In other words can I purchase a $120 set and use all 18, $5.00 coupons and then only pay $30.00? Or is it once coupon per item?

I combined my two $6 and one $5 one today and picked up a bunch of the 75% off snowman legos.
Why do we drive on a parkway and park on a driveway?

I don't see how you have 18 unless you opened 2 accounts. Reward maxed out at $50. Even then the coupons were split $25 until 1/14 and $25 from 1/15. So, you must have opened 4 accounts by my count if all 18 were for this period and spent at least $1800. You can use one coupon per item online but unlimited in stores. Read the fine print.

I got my $50 bucks, but sorry old TRU put 2 different dates on them so you cant use tham all together. So I have only 2 weeks to use $25 and another 2 weeks after that to use the other $25.

I successfully used all 5 of my $5 ones for this half of the month to buy a Ninjago Ice Dragon and the $7 Ninjago set. Only cost $2 out of pocket and also picked up the free card album and collector's card.
