CMF 2 for $5

Post by minifigW » Fri Mar 11, 2016 10:56 pm

That's right folks, TRU has 2 for $5 on all CMFs, not sure for how long. Picked up a bunch. Works out to be around 40% off.

Was there any indication of a restriction? Once when they had this deal in the past, it was limit 1 per customer. The employees let me do it more than once, but I had to do like 30 individual transactions!

Website says online only sale, limit 1 discount per customer. If you put more than 2 in your cart, you'll pay full price for the 3rd item and after. Sounds like you got these in store?

I swear my store pulls them from the shelves during these sales that I stopped even bothering to find them.

I honestly bought over 100 before the sale because they're sold out at Lego.com. Now I have to figure out a way to buy a handful at the sale price and then return the ones I don't want at full price. Wish me luck

It is in store as well, rang up no problem and no quantity limits in place. My TRU had them locked up in electronics because of theft problems though.

Just bought 20 at my local store. They have them at customer service.
The girl just put the box in front of me to pick up as many as I wanted.
Had to control the urge to get the whole box, but I left for others.

Yeah, most of the stores around by me have not had any CMFs for some time. I am starting to think that most stores where I live (not just TRU) have had it in selling the CMFs, and maybe get 1 box, if that now.

I was able to get airjitzu and batmobil for buying 20 collectible minifig too. I don't know the requirement for the lego batmobil. I just scanned the collectable minifig on the price scanner and it said they had a lego batman promo. So, I took the batmobil polybag and airjitzu and they rang free.

Edit: I went to another store and they had the sign that you get the batmobile on any lego purchase over $30.

Which one is that poly?
Did not see it at my local store.
I saw the airjitzu promo, but I thought you needed to buy a set not minifigures.

It is this one and one of the stores the cashier had them behind the counter you just need to ask at checkout. Free over $30 lego purchase. I think it excludes dimensions only.

The airjitzu are any of the sets that are like a spinner from ninjago.

Toysrus can be very... um let me say 'picky' (to keep it PG), when it comes to this kind of stuff. I buy from them all the time but they have poorly worded ads that they can do what ever they want with. So if they say construction set, it doesn't hurt to put up a little fight and say that the minifigures a construction set, because if you think about they technically are. If you attempted it and it doesn't work, oh well you tried, if it doesn't work then you didn't lose anything. In the end it's all worth it if you might end up getting something for free.

Thanks for the info.

I'll try to see what I can do. Since I already made the purchase and most of the bags are gone.
It was for my son's class activity.
I don't know if they will honor the offer after the fact or not.
Yes they can be very "picky" about their offers.
I have found that they have really bad customer service and they don't care about
being very blunt about it.
