Naw, not this year, my target had over 400 of them for $1.98, picked up 30 and am waiting for additional markdowns.
Did also get a Nijago set that was mismarked, rang up for 69.99 but was tagged $20.98 so they gave it to me for that price.

Re: Target Clearance -Winter 2015
I saw the $20 elves set for $9.98, that was the only 50% that I saw, probably because store has stacks of them. Of the 4 targets in my area I hit one and the entire SW section was wiped clear. Might pick up some pirate sets if they hit 50% but for 30% i think I have to pass after an expensive lego xmas.
Also my polys were still scanning full price and so were the SW trading card packs that i would've picked up they were on sale. Going swing by the other close target later today since that is also close to the walmart.

Right now cartwheel has 15% off clearance toys. It excludes LEGO, however in the past some have gotten it to work anyhow.
I have inoperable cancer and am unable to work. Any gifts would be appreciated. Thank you!

Thanks for heads up!
Got lucky and snagged several star wars sets for 30% off
Star Destroyer $88
Scout fighter $40
Bwing $31
Trifighter $20
the clerk had just pulled them from the back otherwise the star wars lego isle was wiped out completely save for a few force awakens sets.

Re: Target Clearance -Winter 2015
Target had Christmas Tree polybags this year for $3.49 and as of yesterday they are still easy to find and full price in San Diego, CA.
I have never been lucky enough to find a post Christmas score, but this year went into my local Target on 12/28 and they had two mint in box Mindstorms EV3 and three of the Volkswagen Bus sets for 50% off. I was able to pick up one EV3 for my neighbor who was thrilled and left the other sets which were quickly snatched up.

Re: Target Clearance -Winter 2015
Even though it wasn't marked, the combo pack of Constraction Figures Obi-Wan vs. Grevious rang up at $44.99 at two different stores. Also saw at one particular Target King Crominus' Rescue and Mammoth's Frozen Stronghold both at half off. guess they want to get rid of that Chima like everyone else does!

Arctic Base camp 30%

Re: Target Clearance -Winter 2015
I was able to score some sets while on vacation in California (San Jose area). My home town (Minnesota - Twin Cities area) was sold out on most sets like a few have me mentioned in this post. Though I still recommend looking anyways! A great site to use for target inventory and to check what sets are marked down is http://www.fyndly.com, search for Lego
There is over 49 sets that are indicated as marked down (typical discount had been between 30-50%). If a store is showing 1 set left, this usually means that there is really a good chance it's not available (backroom, returned, shrink/stolen). The price is usually correct from what it shows. Price can vary depending on location.
Depending on the target, you could try buying the set and returning it a week later for the further discount. Targets usually will mark down the item an extra 10% per week that goes by to a certain max discount that can be given on a set. This is usually frowned upon for obvious reasons.
Thanks to those that have posted in the Walmart and Target in store clearence forums, I was able to score some awesome sets throughout the years. If anyone lives in the Twin Cities area (or an area near by) and would want to exchange information for Lego sales that would be great! I'm not a reseller and purely collect Legos for a hobby, though I do enjoy knowing they are worth good resale value if I score a sale!
Anyways here are some of the sets I was able to get in California. Always be on the lookout for outdated sets!
70413 Pirates The Brick Bounty - normally 99.99 for 69.98
76027 Super Heroes black manta deep sea strike - normally 39.99 for 27.98
75084 Wookie Gunship - normally 69.99 for 41.98. This was an older set that was supposed to be phased out a few months ago. It is great to find older sets!
70412 Pirates Soldiers Fort - normally 29.99 for 20.98
70409 Pirates Shipwreck Defense - normally 12.99 for 6.98

Re: Target Clearance -Winter 2015
I just picked up 76028 Darkseid Invasion for $34.98 (50% off). Is that good? I collect Marvel, not DC, so I don't know much about this set. The store (central NJ) had 3 left, now has one less.
I also found the holiday polybags:
30294: The Cowler Dragon for $1.98 (50% off) only one
30205: Pop Star Red Carpet for $1.19 (70% off) TONS left
and a lot of sets for about 30% off (a few chima, swamp police starter, small pirate set, small elves set). All were under $20 originally, so discount was small.

Re: Target Clearance -Winter 2015
$35 for Darkseid Invasion is great! I'm not a huge fan of the ship (its well done.. just not something that I care about) but the minifigures are great in that set. Darkseid, Hawkman and Green Arrow are all only available in that set. Cyborg also unless you count the LEGO Dimensions fun pack. Good find!linnormlord wrote:I just picked up 76028 Darkseid Invasion for $34.98 (50% off). Is that good? I collect Marvel, not DC, so I don't know much about this set. Which target was this? I went to mission valley and sports arena on Monday and Weds and didn't see any polybags like that, full price or discounted. The only thing I saw were a few sets that were marked down maybe 20%.Superartpimp wrote:Target had Christmas Tree polybags this year for $3.49 and as of yesterday they are still easy to find and full price in San Diego, CA.
