Walmart 10695 classic creative building box $20
No shipping so in stores only. Amazon has the list at $45 and is selling for just under $40...

That I think is the normal price. It's just so much on Amazon because the set hasn't been released in the USA yet. In Europe it's 20 pounds and 25 euro.

Re: Walmart 10695 classic creative building box $20
ok, good to know, cuz it's not showing up in my local stores yet...
Re: Walmart 10695 classic creative building box $20
Saw about 50 sets yesterday at a Texas Walmart for $20 each. Today, the entire selection was gone.
Re: Walmart 10695 classic creative building box $20
I think a lot of parents love buying these bulk sets cause it's free of the third party tie ins and more complex models in other sets. Plus the "Back in my day, this was what Lego was" thing
Re: Walmart 10695 classic creative building box $20
These things are a Bricklinkers wet dream so if you see it buy it. It won't be there in the morning because everyone I know is buying the whole end-cap at one time for them. Sorry, just the reality.
I've also been told by several Walmarts that this was a one time buy.

Saw a bunch of sets like this at my local TRU in LA -- not this exact one but similar and similarly priced. One was a bigger set (about 800-900 pieces) and a couple were smaller (300-400 pieces)
Re: Walmart 10695 classic creative building box $20
saw about 70 of them in a single so cal walmart for 20
Re: Walmart 10695 classic creative building box $20
Wife picked one up for me today at the Swansea, MA Walmart. She's pretty darn good to me.
Re: Walmart 10695 classic creative building box $20
Just bought three more...although they are all gifts for our friends' kids at Christmas...found these in Fall River, MA at the "new" Walmart.

Going for the trifecta here - the triple threat, if you will. (Three comments in a row LOL)
I can confirm that you can build the penguins, Nemo, and giraffe and not be short any pieces. I thought perhaps there would be some piece the penguin set would use and I wouldn't be able to complete the fish, or vice versa, but I have all three mini models built without looking for spare pieces in other sets, and they are currently on my one year old son's shelf (we did a Noah's Ark theme for his bedroom. While he's too small to appreciate - or play with - LEGO, he likes looking at them - don't worry, he can't reach them - and he'll have them to play with when he's older)

I tried two Walmarts today, no luck.
Re: Walmart 10695 classic creative building box $20
Stock checker said there were some at a nearby Walmart so went and check this weekend. There were four, two of which were open. The tape tears apart really easily if you grab the top. Was just planning on buying the two sealed ones but since I was going to open it anyways went ahead and check to see if the two open ones were complete. One was, one was missing the reds bag.
I actually counted 597 instead of the listed 580, probably the standard spare studs. The piece selection is very good for the $20 price. I can see why people want to buy a lot but the selection is not so awesome that someone should clear out an entire Walmart.
On another note, when I was checking the opened ones a Walmart employee came by restocking. I told her they were open and I was checking for completeness. She said okay. When I told her that one was missing parts she told me to just put it back on the shelf, that she was not toy department worker. When I asked if I should bring it to the front, she told me I could but that they would just restock it. Who all here is surprised?

Finally found some of these and picked up one. I thought about getting a couple more, but there weren't very many of them and we haven't been building a lot of MOCs lately so I left them. I'm still glad they are putting these out since coming up with your own stuff is a good alternative building experience for kids.

Whew. Finally found one of these at the WalMart in Bowie, MD for $20. There's two other WMs within an hour's drive that are charging full price. Only two left; I took one and left the other for whatever lucky person finds it.
Edit: Whoops--the item I found on sale was 10696 Medium Creative Building Box, not the 10695. Still, 696 retails for $34.99 and I found it on an unlisted markdown to $20. I haven't seen 10695 yet.

Re: Walmart 10695 classic creative building box $20
Just picked one up today. Thanks. BTW they had a sign in the Lego aisle saying they would not have them(?), so instead you could get the medium plastic box Lego for the same $20 price. I did not try to scan to check though as I didn't want the plastic box and preferred more pieces.minifigW wrote:Yup, not sure if they are still thereLegoImagination wrote:70, wow.
