Lego Calendar March Coupon

So In the 2015 LEGO Calendar there is a coupon where if you make any purchase you get a free minifugre right? However, I have not seen anyone use the coupon, so it would be awesome if you could explain to me how it works. Do you just make a purchase, then walk to the mini figure-building station, build one, then leave? thanks guys!

More of less. You build the figure, take it to the cash, show your coupon, take it home.
