Does anybody know if there is a specific day of the week when Walmart might reduce the clearance aisle even further? I actually want that exclusive Chima set but not at $30, and my local area gets decimated when sets go over 30% off.

There is no specific day when they reduce clearance, I have seen sets sit for years at the same markdown, it all up to your store...

Just stopped in and saw the Chima Flying Phoenix Fire Temple (70146) for $64.00 (47% off), City Museum Break In (60008) for $40 (57% off), and the Ninjago Temple of Light (70505) for $40 (also 57% off).

Walmart's usually, but not always, get markdown money at the beginning of the month. Different stores are given different $ amounts. Then, it is up to the store manager which department gets the funds. I have seen some toy clearance sit for years at some and others will blow the stuff out within a few weeks. Its hit or miss with no rhyme or reason.

Best thing to do is befriend the toy dept head or zm. They will usually give you some "insider" info as to whether or not there will be markdown money coming.

I saw 2 of the City Cargo Train sets at a Walmart I never go to yesterday, they were priced at $139. After reading the responses out here I decided 30% off that set was good enough for me so I went back today and HOLEEEY SHNIKEYS those sets were now marked at $99!! Needless to say I bought both and am tremendously excited to open my first Lego train set!!!

Interestingly enough, all the other sets from yesterday were not marked down further. Ninjago Mechdragon for $69 Chima spider set for $30 and that's about it

Castle Calvalry was in the clearance section but still at $30. I took the only Evil Lair but according to the Walmart app the Walmart 25 miles north has them in stock for that price. I also took the only Family House and Tremor Attack.

I can't remember which one, I think Jennings several LM Trach Chomper for $15 (50%)

Also managed to score at the Books a Million with the $5 off $25+ coupon. Everything came to over 70% off.

Make sure you price check the sets. The only correctly priced set was 4429 the rest were still here priced from the previous clearance mark down.
