Walmart winter/spring clearance 2015

Saw a Harry Potter Hagrid's Hut of all things, for $19. Debating going back for it after seeing what it goes for in the aftermarket, but I'm too lazy, and not a reseller. :)

Incredible find, I would go back for that if i where you.

I finally found a couple of TMNT T-Rawket Sky Strikes for $17 each. I had been looking for that set for awhile.
Still seeing some other Turtles and Chima stuff here and there, but mostly everything has gotten pretty cleared out around here.

Got a flying flusher for $9. Left the trash chomper at $15 because I already had a couple. Some of the other stuff going back up to retail (I'm looking at you fire station).

Yeah, I have encountered that problem as well, the fire station, twinblade adventures, creator cat, and the creator bike went back to full price or are sitting on their first markdowns (creator cat) now stickered as the normal price...

I will be able to check a walmart some distance from me that has been money in the past this weekend, hoping to still be able to find the first wave Chima and superheroes they where sitting on last visit..

Found Lego Chima 70012 at walmart for $11. Probably not exciting for AFOL, but my kiddo will be very happy with it!

Alright, just got back from said walmart

They had a three isle toy clearance section but this was all that was left besides the minecraft micro worlds for 34.00 (was 34.97) which is not even really a markdown, they still had lots of chima that has been marked down everywhere full price.. i guess i will be checking back again in a month or two to see if they drop...

Many AFOL like those sets just as much as the kids. What ends up mattering is mass amounts of cool parts for cheap. And the problems with legos is when do you have enough parts?... probably never, so a good deal is always good.

never seen it on clearance around here, did you mean AT-AP or AT-TE?

Nope it was the AT-AT, two stores 30 minutes apart had it for $54 and one store an hour away had it for $30. I kept checking mine locally to see if it ever went down as it only had one set left. Then 3 days ago it went back to full price at all stores.

I dont know, same thing happened with MetalBeard duel, picked up a few sets for $14 and now they are back at 29-34 and Benny's spaceship was $49 and now back at $98 (although I did score 3 more for $49 this weekend visiting my parents)

You guys, when a set is available (in-stock) online at Walmart, then Brickseek shows the online price as a default-- the only way to actually know the current sales price in-store is to go to the store and scan it. But keep checking back cuz they go in & out of stock pretty often

You can use the walmart app to also see in store pricing. What I've found that works consistently for me is to turn off the apps access to location services. Then set it to the store you want to see if stock is available and current price. the app goes into "in store mode" As an added bonus, you can see other stores in the surrounding area and their price as well.

I will caution you though, as walmarts lego inventory database can suck depending on how thorough the last inventory check went. Sometimes, boxes of the same size are counted as the same set when they may actually be different. The inventory clerk just scans the front box and then counts the rest. So if you see something at a really great price and its within reason, drive to the store and check it out.

But for the past few months, after an update i suppose, my walmart app no longer goes into Store Mode. It just gives me the option to choose My Store, but that's all i see :-/

I've had to delete and reinstall with IOS. Also, it works alot better under the android app. If you dont have android you can download a VM for your pc and run it that way.

Be on the look out, found some vulture droid sets for $10 yesterday.

Been a couple weeks since I visited this Walmart. Last time I went they had a bunch of stuff in the clearance section but at full price (Knowhere Escape, Artic Base, Fire Lion). All gone now but I found the X-Men Sentinel set at 50% off so they probably marked the other stuff down too. Grabbed one Sentinel, left the others.

Walmart closer to home still had all those sets at full price.
