Even stranger, the few other sets still at clearance prices (Flying Phoenix, Mammoth Stomper) were still at 30% with no changes at all.

YMMV indeed.
At my Walmart these were down to $9.

They eventually dropped to $9 here as well and were quickly wiped out.

Funny story, at one of my locals there was a 75043 SW AT-AP sitting in clearance among other sets for the past week. With the closest scanner on the other side of the store, I grabbed a cart and several sets to check prices. That AT-AP scanned at $17!! I was overjoyed and it didn't even bother me that nearly everything else I grabbed from the clearance shelf was still full price. Nothing else was even worth mentioning, just 30% off which is pretty lame this late into clearance time

Did a lunch run and got...

70131-1: Rogon's Rock Flinger for $9.00
76003-1: Superman: Battle of Smallville for $ 25.00

Wasn't planning on the Rock Flinger, but for 70% off I went for it.

I've been hitting Wal-Marts in my area every few days for weeks now, picking up good clearance deals when I can. I swung by the closest one to me today just to see if prices dropped on anything. While walking towards the toy aisles, I went past the automotive section which had a shopping cart in the middle of the aisle completely full of random items, mostly toys. It looked like they were items that were to be restocked. Sitting right on top was the most random set, and I could not pass it up. While it wasn't on clearance (rang up at $49.97), it was a must get. What the heck was this thing doing there? It's from 2010!

I'm really MEGABOKS at Walmart right now. When you do the buy from a store from the app you have two weeks to pick it up. It should be a pending sale for those weeks, that way if you don't pick it up you aren't charged.

Who didn't pick up the set but is still charged? Me!

I bought all 8 of the Big rig, the to Turtle subs, the drop ship, and a bad cop pursuit I looked like a clown pushing a cart filled with my three kiddos, and boxes hanging all over the place...

they also had some Flying Phoenix Fire Temple for $40. Had close to 1400 bricks

That's an incredible deal on that Fire Temple set. Lowest I saw it was $64 and I passed it up. My son would lose his mind for a $40 Fire Temple.

I'm never doing site to store or whatever it's called again.

I don't go to Walmart often, but my mom went to the one with the $35 Milano and picked it up for me. As soon as I saw the box had weird tape I went "Someone opened the box and the mini figures will be gone".

Sure enough it's partly built, half the bags are open, and every mini figure is gone, and my mom lost the receipt. Credit card company will be getting a call and so will Walmart.

App shows the creator hut is 30.00 at local Walmart, only one within 50 miles that had it under 35.00 as a clearance price... gonna wait if their is any kind of significant quantity for the next markdown but if their is very few left i might pick one up.

That won't change anything when you just buy the set, take it home, steal the minfigures and return it. I think LEGO might need to wrap every box in plastic and tell stores to not give returns if the plastic is missing.

I have used Amazon Warehouse Deals 30 times in the past, not a single issue, use Walmart App for two weeks and nothing put problems.

My Son and I were in a Walmart recently and he discovered TWO opened Lego boxes on a shelf with open bags strewn about. Both boxes were 76028. They were in a toy aisle but not the Lego aisle. He asked me why someone would do that and I replied "I suppose they might have been after the minfigs". He then said, "no, here are some pieces", showing me a minifig torso. I was like "please put that down and dont mess with it". lol

I've seen boxes in Walmart before that have been retaped. I usually dont think to examine the seals when I purchase sets so need to make sure to do that so I dont get burned. If these are sets that are being returned they need to train their customer service staff to check the box for open or missing bags (since they are numbered). Ridiculous that some douches would do this .....
