Lego store Fairview Mall in Toronto sold out this morning.

I was lucky to somehow manage to get my order processed last night at 2am.The limit was 2 per household for both exo suit and research institute. Hope they arrive!

I was supposed to buy two for a friend of mine who was out of country this week. He is going to be disappointed :/

The Toys R Us West Broadway store in Vancouver is carrying the Exosuit LEGO set as well. In fact, it has over 10 boxes left as of today at 12:00 PM. The Vancouver LEGO store was quickly sold out of the Exosuit 30 minutes after opening and most people don't realize Toys R Us has also started carrying this set today and didn't bother making the trip to that store. Toys R Us might be your best bet in Vancouver if you are looking to buy the set today.

^Wow! I honestly did not expected them to go 30 mins in. I managed to snag one.

Did you know if the Research Institute was selling well or not?

Anyone know what order status "customer service" means in the online shop?

My local store has a limit of 2 per household for each of 2 new ideas sets, I got them today during the day, I stayed up till 12:30 last night and placed few orders, they showed up around 11:45pm as available so I started ordering, at midnight Lego web site got very slow, it looks like half of my orders already shipped. Funny thing- it's on toysrus.com as sold in stores(as always and nobody will find it in the store) for $25!!!!!!!!!!

LEGO S@H had a limit of two for the Exo Suit and Research Institute sets per person at release but has now been changed to one per person.

Just wanted to give a heads up that these two promotions are currently stackable on lego.com with a $99 purchase. I pulled the trigger on a backordered SW Cantina to do it last night.

FREE Exclusive MINI Cooper Mini Model with purchases of $99 or more!

FREE Exclusive Chima Worriz Fire Bike with purchases of $50 or more! (August 25-September 14)

I agree. I would happily take it for parts though if I were placing an order.
Brickfan posted info about future promotions:
October Double VIP points
November Black Friday event (discounts on some sets) and free holiday winter skating scene with purchases of $99 or more

and of course the classic spaceman in September with purchases of $99 (already reported here)

You're not kidding about that - super shoddy. I'm surprised they squeezed 31 pieces in that bag when the bike looks like it's about 10.

It's nice to have this stackable offer (especially if you haven't gotten the Leaning Tower of Pisa, which is double VIP points until the 31st) but they're not super great gifts. The Classic Spaceman or October double VIP is probably what I'll be waiting for.

The Chima promo poly overlaps with the Spaceman next month anyway, so you'll get it one way or the other.

I'm not going to spend $100 on LEGO to get the Spaceman but he is really awesome and comes in a nice box.

I feel the same way.
$100 to get a spaceman. I have a few very descriptive adjectives for TLG but I can't express them here.

Lego knows it will be popular so they are forcing the buyers hands.
Of course we don't have to, but $100 is not cool at all.

I predict the mini-cooper promo will have greater resale value than the spaceman. I sold last year's VW van promo sealed for $30 a few months back. That's how I justify my purchases to my spouse anyway.

My only hope for the spaceman is that since it's included in a set with a robot, that won't prevent them from offering it again elsewhere by itself, like in a bricktober TRU minifig set. Do they still do those?

Yes, and TRU might do it again this year as well.

Nice. I try to "justify" things as well. I actually sold one VW mini van for $20 and kept a 2nd. I like it.
