[USA] Lawn Mower poly and Advent Calenders at Toys"R"Us

Post by just2good » Sun Aug 18, 2013 1:55 pm

At a Toys"R"Us in Fort Lauderdale/Newport, Florida.
SW Advent was $50 ( ), City $35 ( :eh: ), Lawn Mower Polybag $4 ( :-D ).

I don't give a heck about the advents, except for the Friends one, which they didn't have.

I guess Lego is not waiting long this time to put these out, but it seem that the lesson from last year was not learned by them this year. So, unless they short produce these, we will be seeing them on clearance at Lego stores around the same time this year next year. By the way, the least I would do to improve the set a little would be to give Boba an elf costum, and also a red Jango helmet. Also, no more mini figures from another set throw ins please. If one want to charge $50 for these, least they can do is make all figures unique overall, and all exclusive. And those mini builds, other than getting the right color bricks which can be a pain, yet they are not that attractive and easily build from scrap.

I didn't notice the Advent Calendar but there were tons of the Lawn Mower polybags at the TRU on Westheimer in Houston. Quite a few of the two current Star Wars ships, too: the Republic Frigate and the Mandalorian Fighter.

Advent calendars should be at LBR stores now as well. They arrived at our KS store. $30 for City and Friends, $40 for SW

My TRU still has 10-15 of the Star Wars ones from last year for $30, they used to be $24 in Jan-March.

TRU will probably display the two calenders side by side to confuse people.

Nah, that is even too smart for TRU. They will reraise the price of last year's to $50 and mix it in with the new ones to really confuse people!
