My TRU got these on Friday, I grabbed the two larger sets under the "20 off 75" deal and ended up paying just under regular MSRP after tax, and even got a free Galaxy Squad poly as well!

I must admit I was a little underwhelmed by War Machine's shoulder cannon. Decent part usage, I guess, but I was hoping for something kind of new.

What's scary is a big company has no interest in releasing the goods, when the boxes say they should be released. Every LEGO dealers has gotten reminders March 7th is the ON SHELF DATE for Iron Man 3 products. All the big guys thumb there nose at LEGO and don't seem to care.

There's nothing they really can do. Once the big company has bought the product and has it in hand, its theirs to do with as they want. Only thing they can do is not sell them product, but if they are a big name, Lego needs them. I know Walmart literally forces Toy makers to give them exclusives or they just won't carry a certain line, period. And supposedly Walmart sells more toys than any other store, so its not like you can survive without them anymore. The manufactures now cater to the retailers demands. What we see on the shelf has more to do with what Walmart wants to see rather than fans of a property want to see.

The problem is that as more vendors break LEGO and the licensees restrictions, printed right on the outside of the LEGO cases, they will just refuse to allow LEGO to ship stuff before it's "ON SHELF DATE", which just means everything will get delayed. Violations of this stuff can sometimes end up with LEGO eating big fines too which doesn't help but raise the costs/prices right? We have had this stuff for 2 weeks almost now and are waiting for the 7th to put in the shelf as our LEGO rep asked but it gets harder and harder as more and more places are selling it already.

Built them today. Nothing too impressive from a build perspective. I would have to say the mansion one is the best of the bunch. The helicopter is a cool little build and I really like the little portion of the mansion. I like that there are little display alcoves for the previous lego suits in the mansion.

Not the most pricey sets but definitely worth snagging if you are on the fence. I personally can never have enough super hero minifigures.

I saw the LEGO factory cases with my own eyes at my local TRU, the big pink stickers on the side were dated March 1st, 2013. I have read that TRU pays extra to be allowed to sell sets just a little bit before everybody else, in my area it seems to be true because I can also confirm I got the Marvel Avengers sets at TRU before any other stores or online retailers had them for sale.

My TRU got 1 case each of the 2 larger sets last Friday and they're already gone.

Who cares that amazon is releasing these sets early as well... at least amazon doesn't rip you off by marking up the prices on these sets... if it wasn't for amazon I probably wouldn't have saved so much money on lego's to feed my addiction

A box just arrived from Amazon with what I'm assuming is the two smaller sets. I opted to wait on the mansion, since I'm sure it will be discounted. Building these tonight.

I worked at TRU and sometimes it's just that no one knows when they are supposed to release the sets. Sure LEGO might have told someone a date, but if it's not on the box, they end up on the shelves. I put up NinjaGo sets before Christmas because the box didnt have a release date on it. But the computer would have caught it if we didn't. Which is what seems to have happened with Amazon.

It's no big deal, not our problem and frankly isn't anything we should worry about.
