NYC Yellow Cab and Statue of Liberty available on-line

While browsing tru.com tonight, I came across the following sets, for $5 each:

* 40026 Statue of Liberty http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.js ... d=12776826" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Previously, these were only available in the flagship NYC Toys-R-Us and NYC LEGO Store stores. IMO, the sets aren't spectacular, but there is some collectors appeal. And, having them delivered via USPS is a heck of lot cheaper than making the trip to NYC for most of us.

It appears they are listed on the tru ebay page, as well. So they may be clearing them all out. Enjoy!

Awwww. Are they available in canadian TRU stores? I dont do any shopping online (except for Lego - ), esp from american sites cus of added border hassles etc....

Cool. Grabbing some while I can. It's rare when the car has opening doors these days. I liked when they were standard and were on every vehicle.

The statue of Liberty has been there for weeks, but this is the first I've seen of the cab (at TRU.com anyway).

I was going to pick up a couple of the NYC cab until I read that a minifig doesn't fit in it. The inner part is only 2 studs deep and the steering wheel takes up 1. I passed.

The Statue of Liberty is horrible.
The cab is really cool.
