[USA] LEGO Star Wars Summer Sets - Now at Amazon

Post by Toys N Bricks » Fri Jul 06, 2012 7:41 am

Well, it seems like ToysRUs.com is not the only retailer that has them as Amazon.com has them instock as well! Of course, Amazon is the clear winner with all the sets instock at retail price, free shipping on orders above $25 and no tax to most states! Thanks to forum member h-7 for the news.

Just spotted this a few minutes ago when updating my AMZ want list. So happy to finally be able to order the Skiff. Might have to get a second copy to part out. I imagine Boba Fett on his own will sell well initially.

I can't believe (or can) that TRU has a $30 markup going on Jabba's Palace. Disgusting.

Yeah ToysRUs can suck it. I don't even bother looking there unless they're on sale. And even then they're still typically higher. My wish list is updated. I have to control myself at this point and not buy 2 of each. :geek:

I can't wait for Lego store or shop@home to have them. I have $100 in VIP rewards burning a hole in my pocket. I called both Lego stores in my area and neither have a release date.

Any idea when Palpatine's Arrest will be released? Is it going to be an exclusive set?

Thanks for the heads up! I impulse bought the desert skiff. Could not resist four new figures and a set I missed the first time around. I figure better to impulse this set instead of going for it and buying the new Jabbas palace...yet...

Think I will wait for a sale on these before I pull the trigger.

I'll wait for a sale on Jabba's Palace, but I can't justify holding off on the Skiff. At most you'll save $4-5, and I really want the Boba now.

The manager at the Jersey Gardens store said the Summer SW stuff is coming out July 23rd.

I hope that is true. I am trying to be patient.

Jabba's Palace is $120??!? Holy cow! I knew it would be a higher price/piece because of all the new molds for the figs... so $90-100. But jeeze, $120?

Too late for the cheaper sets, at least for now.

Desert Skiff (reg.$24.99)
= comes up with a 3rd party seller selling at $49.99

Saesee Tinn's Starfighter (reg.$29.99)
= comes up as "Currently unavailable."

The fury class interceptor is $100 at toysrus. How is this even remotely reasonable??? Amazon's $89 doesn't seem to be cutting it either. On a scale wise this ship is so darn small. It's like the price of 2 tie fighters and they come with far more figures?! Good grief someone in marketing should be fired.

Does anyone know if the blue and grey bricks in the Gungan Sub are a good match with the blue and grey of Classic Space? If so the sub would be a great source for some CS pieces.

The blue should be, but the original grays were retired and replaced in 2003 by light bluish-gray and dark bluish-gray (officially named 'medium stone gray' and 'dark stone gray' and derogatorily nicknamed 'light blay' and 'dark blay').

Jabba's Palace for a regular price of $120? Nearly 17 cents a piece. What? That sounds like eBay prices. I'll buy a bunch of these, but needs to be closer to $100. I thought it would be at a $80 price point like Mines of Moria.
