Will TRU go back to MSRP after Christmas?

So many of the newer LEGO sets are above MSRP out of the gate, will they be reduced back to MSRP after the holidays or are we stuck with this inflated price?

The TRU truck never went back down.

And I don't believe most new sets will ever go down either.

Some will go to MSRP, others are marked up year round. Some markups are store specific. Most stores have battle packs marked up to $15 year round but I have foind some stores have them for $12-$13. Its the new and the popular sets that tend to keep the mark ups. In general, I think if TRU can get it, they will charge it.

TRU in Queens is notorious for that. I do most of my shopping in NJ because that is where i work.

I was specifically thinking about the truck when I posted this. Right now my TRU only has a handful of older sets and a boatload of Friends....I guess time will tell.

FWIW, TRU marked up all the Megablocks too...I was in the market for Hello Kitty ones for my daughter and those were jacked up quite a bit too. Wow my love/hate relationship with the Giraffe continues!
