[CAN] CMF Series 5 Available at Walmart

Post by unclephn » Tue Aug 23, 2011 2:32 pm

Just came from the Walmart at Markville Shopping Center and they now have Series 5 available, priced at $3.28 each. As of now, they have what looks to be 7 freshly opened cases, and 1 case picked over (by me) 8-)

Saw it just now. There's one completely empty case in the actual Lego aisle but don't be fooled. They're at least 5 quite full cases on a smaller shelf (where they put some of the smaller sets) that are not actually in an aisle, but in the middle of the walkway.

Just got back from the Pickering Wal-Mart (401 & Brock) and there are four cases still there, two been picked through, other two not sure.

I can confirm the Walmart in Burlington on Dundas has them.

I'm gonna wait till Chapters gets them so I can score them below US MSRP. :)

They are still at the end of the aisles correct? I'm not going to have to hunt through every single toy aisle?

They're all wiped out at all the Walmart locations around me. The store where I initially found them at was sold out in less than two weeks, and they had about 8 or 9 cases is to start with. I have yet to find them at TRU, or any other retailer for that matter!

Was just at Lougheed Mall Walmart (Burnaby/Vancouver) and they had about 6 boxes with lots left as of noon today. I hopefully grabbed one of each but I won't find out till I open them with the kids later this evening.

The aren't in the lego section (although there's and empty series 5 box there) they're opposite the back wall of the toy section a few rows down from the lego aisle on the bottom shelf.

Enjoy!

I was at the New Westminster Wal-Mart yesterday and they had 3 almost full boxes of series 5. Its going under renovation so its not in the LEGO aisle, but the aisle next to it.

Has anyone been to London Drugs yet? I need to know if they have them in stock. I believe the Richmond store, near Richmond Centre restocks every Sunday.

EDIT: To answer my own question, there were no Series 5 at that LD. But they did have another freshly opened case of series 4.

I also saw lots of Forbidden Forest, Freeing Dobby and Knight Bus sets. Its a bummer that this store doesn't have them on clearance.

This store gets way too much traffic (mall, skytrain, plus serving 2 cities) that it doesn't offer much clearances. I think its the busiest one in BC! Even with clearances, it usually goes away quick before they can even discounted them further. I saw quite a few $25 Ramses Pyramid last week still and they're all gone today.

It sucks that the Vancouver store is a Supercentre. Not that I don't like them offering groceries, but there's almost no LEGO there.

Forgot to mention, but if you plan on visiting the Burnaby Wal-Mart, there's a mall promotion going on. Buy $100 in gift cards and you get a free movie ticket. Buy $180 in gift cards and you get 2 movie tickets.

Also saw a new Toys R Us Express store a couple shops ahead of Wal-Mart.

Got six at the New Westminster store. There were many opened packets, all the parts were spilled on the shelf. I did mange to feel out all the ones I wanted: Lizard Man, Lumber Jack, Graduate, Royal Guard, Eskimo, and Boxer. They were relatively easy to feel out especially the lizard man and the Royal Guard, I mean who can miss that big bulge of plastic. Managed to get the display box also. At $3.28 per minifigure the total was $21.07 including tax. I was standing there for so long that an employee came up to me asking me what I was doing, I told him about the 16 different possibilities and how you get random figures, and then he told me Good Luck. Overall it was a good day. :-) By the way, the legs on these minifigure feel VERY cheap, they are all loose and seem like they want to come off the stand.

Barrie Walmart (on Bayfield Street) in Ontario has them. About 5 boxes. Well, that was before I got there. Now maybe 4 boxes.

This series was hotter than I had thought. 14 boxes of CMF were sold out within 10 days at my local wal-mart. Store manager told me CMF was the bestseller among all lego in the store.

On the other hands, I still saw series 4 available at two local "London drugs".
