New Lego Store in Costa Mesa, CA
Hey there Orange County members, I'm not sure if you noticed but a new lego store will be opening in South Coast Plaza. It will be right next to Puzzle Zoo, which also sells Lego (at a 10-20% mark up! whoops!)

Will anyone be at the event on Saturday March 12th for the limited edition minifig set?

Yeah, I hope to be checking in at some point. Excited about a new store. Downtown Disney is just to much a pain most days.

Re: New Lego Store in Costa Mesa, CA
I plan to be there with my son when the store opens for the minifig set. I'm debating between picking up sets or taking the time to fill up PAB cups... I guess it depends on how many people show (since the minifig set is limited to the first 300 customers who make purchases over $35).
Hoping they have a bigger PAB selection than Downtown Disney, and like Eldron said, I'm tired of driving out there. Costa Mesa is a lot closer for me.
I know, I know... us OC members are spoiled silly. :P

Please post pictures of the minifigs, I'm very curious, assuming they are specific to the store opening. I did a survey from my Lego Store receipt and it asked if it would be preferable to receive 3 minifigs or a small build (assuming like the mini build)unbornchikken wrote:I plan to be there with my son when the store opens for the minifig set. Oops, sorry I didn't even click the original link b/c I was on my phone and don't live in CA. Those are fun and a great gift for a $35 purchase.
ETA - I just looked at the other store openings in Ohio and Indianna and it seems to be the same figures. I thought the might be unique. In the pasrt they've done a model that represnts that location/city right? Anyway it would be nice if the torsos end up in the BaMF.

if you can't see the photo that vynsane imbedded, try this link, it is still showing up as of nowgabriellee11 wrote:For some reason I can't see the picture....what is the minifigure??
There are 3 minifigs: (please excuse the fact that i'm likely not using the proper minifig terminology here):vynsane wrote:found here: http://stores.lego.com/en-us/Costa%20Mesa/events.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
a female with a white shirt w/ a pink sun and red pants
a male w/ a green shirt w/ a black minifig head, wings and crossbones (I think) and grey pants
and another male w/ dark blue shirt w/a sun and windsurf board and orange pants.
What is interesting is that when I saw these I thought they made perfect sense for a S. California giveaway (especially the 3rd one) but it looks like they are giving away the same ones in Ohio and Indianna. Go figure.
