What does the backpack look like? The two I went to had t-shirts the first day.

I wish we had a LEGO store in KY. Maybe in the future.

The backpack is blue with pictures of bricks on it, I'll try to find the flyer and upload a photo, I wasn't super impressed, but I guess free is free, the little store and minifigures are more appealing imho, but the backpack may have less of a line since it's on a Friday. I remember when the first store opened there was quite a line.

I'm surprised they're opening another one so close by, I mean they're not next to each other but I'd say they're within 15 miles of each other. I guess it fills the Lego buying gap between Legoland and the Lego store in fashion valley, I wonder if they can't open one too close to Legoland since it's owned by Merlin and maybe they have some sort of agreement.

Here's a picture of the gifts with purchase. I hope it is not too hard to see.

I wish they'd open a Lego store in Savannah or Augusta here in Georgia. We've got two in Atlanta but Atlanta isn't exactly an easy city to drive to or in. Where I live, it's about 4.5 hours round trip if you drive straight in and out. Why couldn't one of those Lego stores have been set up in the Southern part of the state?

Sometimes I get really irritated that companies can't see the benefit in spreading the jobs and wealth around the states a bit more. You can't put everything in two or three cities and not expect there to be serious consequences at some point.

No, it is in the UTC (University Towne Center) area just east of La Jolla. It's in the Westfield mall there. Everyone calls it UTC though.
