Olaf's Summertime Fun (30397) polybag @ Target

Post by phantasmo33 » Sun Feb 07, 2016 11:31 am

Used the Brickseek Target Inventory database and found that my Target had these in stock (in a box in the back...WHY ARE THEY ALWAYS IN THE BACK?!!). I picked up a handful of them. The DPCI is 086-14-0140.

According to Brickseek, they're $3.99; the stores around me apparently have 30+ of them in stock but I didn't see any when I went grocery shopping on Sunday.

The employee had to get them from the back stockroom, so I don't know where they would/will be sold in the store. He opened the box, I grabbed three of them, and then he went to put them back in the stockroom. Why they don't just put them out for sale is beyond me...

Most importantly, how does a snowman have summertime fun? :)

It looks like it's floating in the water in an inner tube with music and beverages. Sounds like my kind of escape from winter.

I can confirm these are at - at least 1 Target down in the deep south and they're $3.99

What is a snowman doing floating by a tropical island?

In the movie, Olaf has a fantasy sequence where he's on a beach.

My guess is that these will be Easter goodies once the Valentine's promotions clear out. It's funny that the only Valentine promo this year is the blue sports car; normally there is both a "boy" and a "girl" promo (the latter usually being a Friends item). So I would expect to start seeing this on shelves after Sunday. Wonder if there will be a "boy" item for Easter like one of the other City polybags? We haven't seen the Prison Island helicopter or the Mini Dumper yet.

I also saw these at the LEGOLAND Discovery Center store as well (though could be 4.99 USD there, I did not check the price). They may or may not be in your local Discovery Center, but I saw them in the IL store (not the regular LEGO store, but LEGOLAND discover Center).

Target Planogram shows this as a Feb 14 set date as part of some promotion I was told when they refused to get any from the back.

Who knows if and when we'll see these in Canada...

TRU Canada has the prison island heli-plane polybag in stock though!

On a side note about Target LEGO polys, the only Christmas poly they had at my locations was the Friends DJ setup. A poor set with very little to it. They didn't get any of the Star Wars polys until after Christmas. The TIE and X-Wing are excellent.

The last great Target poly with a minifigure was Kingdoms Target Practice. Very hard to find and an epic set.

Confirmed. My Target has the shelf tag up in the Easter section but no actual bags yet.
