Yes, I believe it is for "kids" 6 and up. You can always ask, but I do think it is intended for kids.

I think some TRUs are also holding C-3PO from being available for purchase in case they run out of the kits and need to provide that instead of the XWing.

Me and my son arrived at the event 10min til start. We were 50th or so in line and we heard some people got there 30min prior to start. They had plenty to give away after we finished (we didn't build, just packaged and left), got free comic book. It seems to have been no age limit at my local event as a couple had their infant (arm baby) and was able to get the free build, geese.... the extremes that some individuals take to get free Lego is amazing!

We arrived at 10:55 for the 11 am start in canada. It was mayhem! We were about 50th in line and got to the table after about 45 min wait. No free comic book...instead a full size 2'x3' double sided poster, with all the new minifigs on one side and a star wars action scene on the other!
