Did you try to buy it? Usually the register will not allow the sale before the shelf date, and that will alert the manager that someone wasn't paying attention, who will then have the section workers wipe all embargoed items off the shelves.

No, I did not. I wasn't planning to get it anyway.

I wish there were a way to get the minifigs and builds without the tech. I've seen several accessories and minifigs I want but I really don't care much about the game.

When exactly is the first wave hitting the shelves? And which packs are in the first wave?

@lordoflego street date for starter set and first round of add on packs is Sept 27.

On a side note, back at the end of August one of my local Targets had put out the starter set mistakenly...in the toy department with the rest of the LEGO sets. This with the fact that it looks like Walmart is doing the same thing (toy department rather than in the video games/electronics area) has me a little concerned. Most of the Walmarts in my area are pretty seedy...on many occasions I have walked through the LEGO isle and found sets torn into and pieces (most likely for the minifigs) pilfered. I have a bad feeling considering the retail prices of the add on packs that these are going to be a highly shoplifted items if they are not kept in a secure area.

My target had an end app set up in electronics. Had a display, and a bunch of empty pegs. Looks like they are ready though.
I have inoperable cancer and am unable to work. Any gifts would be appreciated. Thank you!
