I cleared out the 56 I found at Walmart this morning. Just the other day this same Walmart had a Simpsons box with nearly 50 packs in the same spot.

I will not be collecting them all like I did with 1-10. I almost kind of hope they see a big drop in sales so they realize we notice things like 33 percent price increases. That's HUGE.

It was confirmed when the Simpsons' minifigures came out with MSRP of $3.99 that this would be the new price for all CMFs.

I really doubt it. They will sell, maybe slower but they will.
First you don't get here- "LEGO has finally claimed the spot for being the largest toy company in the world in terms of sales" by doing business as usual. Take some risks and see what is the reaction. (Simpsons)

Second-
The Simpsons Minifigures experiment worked and now they figure out if they sell at that price; why not the rest right? Why sell for less when you can make more.

Third-
Take advantage of the popularity of the Lego Movie and for sure the sequel.

The best we can do is get the ones we really like and hope for a clearance after Christmas.
Since the alternative is miss out completely and be happy, or pay after market values; which is what happened to me with the Lego Movie series. I paid more than $4 for the figures that I wanted.

I'll need to wait for a sale. A little too much even for me.

Found a wall hanger at target, cleared em out of 40 of them. They where 3.80 with red card discount.
Sadly target never clearances mini-figs or I would have waited...

I remember when paying $2.99 CDN for Series 2 minifigures were a bit too much. But I'm surprised the price of The Simpsons minifigs were $3.99 in both Canada and USA.

I feel bad for you guys, but now you know what it feels like to pay more for everything like we do up here in Canada. I think this is the only instance where Canadians will pay the same as Americans (other than we will be paying slightly less when you consider the exchange rate). The Simpsons figs were $3.86 in Canadian Walmart stores...hopefully these will remain the same price.

Too bad these are hard to find on sale - the best time to get them is in October with the double VIP and free Christmas set.

I didn't pick up the Simpsons figures for this price and I doubt I do it for these either. 3.99 for a minifigure? I may as well buy a set.

I held out for buying Simpsons minifigs until they were on sale at ToysRUs for 2 for 5, I had only bought Mr.Burns and Chief Wiggum before then. I don't plan on buying any of these for 3.99, it just seems too expensive for something so small. But they are all so great looking, I might end up buying one or two.

Was it? I must have missed the statement from TLG confirming that. I think we all knew inside that the price wouldn't ever go back down (it was the perfect excuse to tack on a huge price increase which I agree is exactly what the biggest toy company in the world would do) but since Simpsons is a licensed theme I still foolishly had my fingers crossed it would go back to somewhere near the previous vanilla price point because then I would still collect them. It's not like I enjoy not collecting them now as some kind of statement, I just feel they are overpriced and not worth it anymore.

I guess they figured if the Simpsons could be sold for $3.99 why not...although I still see Simpsons on the shelves...the price increase is disappointing.
