New Pick-A-Brick Wall Elements in-store

Post by atmail35 » Sat Jun 28, 2014 3:16 pm

(as of 6/28/14 - Braintree, MA) We went to the LEGO Club Meeting today and low and behold found lots of new elements. Pink, purple and teal! Lots of pink (1x2, 2x2, 1x2 plate, 2x6 plate) And Horses!

I spent the entire meeting filling a cup and left my daughter alone to work on her build for the meeting. ;-)

The teal and purple reminds me of Sully from Monsters Inc/University

Anyone have a space-efficient plan for packing the stairs?

Ooo, brown horses. Gotta get me some. I was able to pack 11 white horses into a large cup back when they were on the wall. You can probably pack more since the legs on the brown horses are moveable.

I've never been to a LEGO store with a pick a brick wall. Is it worth a 2 hour drive (one way)? I'm considering it since my son is interested and its summer.

WOW! Nice pieces. I built a custom Mr. Freeze telescope scene when I was younger (think back to 1997's Batman & Robin). I can't believe I just saw a Pick a Brick container for blue gems! Can anyone confirm that the blue gems are in MA, specifically the Burlington Mall Lego store? (Burlington's the best!!!) Thanks!

I didn't know there were LEGO stores without Pick a Bricks. When I go to the LEGO store, I go straight to their wall. For the big cup, I normally manage to fit in 800-1000 pieces (small-medium) which goes for only $15.99! (0.016-0.02 cents a piece!!!)

The small cup averages at around 500 for $8.99.

The store however has a sign that only 375 pieces fit the big cup on average.

I think it's worth it, but for a 2-hour drive, you should probably buy more than just one or two cups. I wouldn't have almost 30,000 pieces if it wasn't for their Pick a Brick wall. Hope this helps.

I haven't been to a store in years and the last time the way was horrible. While I love the horses and the jewels and the color plates, they are plates. I wish they were more useful bricks.

However less than a dolor a horse is amazing.

The blue gems are definitely at Braintree, MA. Call Burlington and ask.

I got 6 and had room for more. Lie them on the side and move the legs so they fit best. I was able to fit 2x2 "towers" in between the legs. One store employee said someone fit 14 in a large cup.

Braintree, MA also had stairs and windows. But I didn't have time to fill a second cup. I'm going to try to go back. The stairs look difficult to stuff in the cups. I was too giddy over the pink, teal, purple to focus on the other parts.

So here's what I got yesterday: (1115 pieces for only $15.99!)

Just a bunch of fun, colorful pieces.

At Ontario Mills, California, you can get these cool pieces:

1x1 Brick with studs on all sides except bottom:

2x2 flat plate with center stud:

1x2 clear light blue flat plates:

Nice haul, JustBrickin!

I found this video today, not sure if others have tried this. I might need to give it a try.

Thanks atmail35! I like how you put pieces in the horse's back. I didn't think of that. I could've fit 8 more pieces lol!

Nothing new and absolutely no horses on the wall at both WA stores yet. Was told it all depends on the person who orders the elements.
