Grand Emporium 10211 - going, going ....

Post by petersnell » Thu Oct 02, 2014 10:09 am

Lego Grand Emporium 10211 is listed on Lego's shop at home site as "call to check product availability". I called and it was confirmed that this set is retiring, so call in and buy now if you really want it! Double VIP points this month too.

Well now is Sold out.
As well as Town Hall
and Pet Shop shipping was moved from the 16th to 30 days.

Now to see when their backorder system gets up to date and maybe they have more ( I know.... unlikely)
But I had difficulty placing an order for the Pet Shop and when I call the Rep could not tell me for sure if they were going to have more or not, even their internal system was slow.
After about 6 minutes she told me that my order was confirmed for backorder.

It was my fault, after all I knew I should have place it yesterday.
They did gave us about 1 day and a half to order all of these.

Now I know for the future.

I ordered 2 on the 1st. fully expecting they this will go Sold Out in a day or two given the sporadic stock prior to this.

What surprised me though was Town Hall! I was going to order it middle of the month but looks like a trip to the local Lego Store is in order now instead...

Gone are the good days of Lego deals....picked up Emporium, Pet Shop and Fire Brigade for ~$120ish each during Walmart's sale almost 2 years ago.

Yes, before Lego decided to do something about it. But retailers can still give discounts towards them through other means.

That is exactly what I did. I have been buying lots of sets in the past 2 years. Now with their new price policy, suddenly I realize how expensive Lego is and I own pieces more than I can play with. Time to start to selling!
