Post by vynsane » Thu Jul 29, 2010 8:00 am

You read that right, the summer 2010 Star Wars sets are now available to order at S@H!
EDIT: Opps... just saw that it was already posted in the SW forum. (This isn't one of those postpadding topics, seriously... just hadn't seen it...)

Not THAT much. I'm just really used to BBcode at this point ;) (even though I sometimes get confused on Flickr and start using BBCode there, then I have to translate it into standard HTML).

There is a pricing error on LEGOShop Canada. 8128 Cad Bane's Speeder is currenty listed at $39.99 CAD which is even cheaper than the American price at $49.99 USD. Hurry and order it now if your from Canada as we believe this set should retail at $69.99 CAD.

If anyone wants the spaceman magnet, add code V001. The prices are ugly. Every bit helps. So if you want 5 bucks off your order, add code B311 instead.

Each new wave is getting more expensive than the previous one. $80 for Slave 1. Compare that to the previous one, its $50. Similar sets at almost the same size, but a 60% increase. Yes, we get some new nice looking figures but $80 is expensive. All the other themes has increased in price too but not as much as Star Wars.

Plus, cad bane's speeder with 300 pieces for $50 is not funny either.

I got two ordered. Thanks for the heads up. Its about time I'm able to cash in on the Canadian errors. I missed the $80 drop ship, the $0.91 cent key chains and the $170 UCS Falcon back in May.

I think word is spreading. Its #1 seller on shop at home right now. $40 is high for a 318 pieces. At least the box looks big like the $60-70 sets.

$40 might be high for 318 pieces but have you looked at #8093 Plo Koon’s Jedi Starfighter which has only 175 pieces and is going for $35!

Like i mentioned earlier, prices keeps going up.
Senator wrote:City public transport listed at $140? Cargo train for $240? Prices in Canada is going way beyond the border.

I thought Lego will be nice enough to keep our $26.99 sets mark up only to $29.99. But the answer is NO. They had to make it to $34.99. The Americans got their sets mark up from $19.99 to $24.99 whereas we get mark up 3 times from $26.99 to $29.99 to $34.99. And TRU? Not making things any better by making them $37

I think I should have be grateful then for getting bane's speeder for $40 with all these high prices. :) Plo Koon's Fighter is the same size as Anakin's Fighter. The ship is the same with a little difference in functions and colour and you get different figures. Retail for Anakin's Fighter before was $26.99. Plo Koon's Fighter for $34.99 is not funny at all. Basically, its a 30% increase in prices (1.3 times).

The old one in 2006 is the same size. Again, you get differnt figures with some different functions. But compare $79.99 to $109.99. 21 cents per piece is not cool :?

The only close to resonable price is 8096 emperor palpatine's shuttle with 592 pieces for $79.99. (its still not cheap)

Cad Bane's Speeder still $39.99 at s@h. Maybe it is in fact the real retail price or a promotion to Canadians. The price to piece ratio is even better than 3222 heli and limo. :)

I can't believe that is the correct price. The US price is $49.99! All the other sets are higher priced in Canada than the US. Still, I got my two in the mail the other day (review coming as soon as I can get it together), so I am happy that I got them at this price.

Sixty-one cent keychains, actually. :D
And I'm still kicking myself for not snagging TWO Falcons. Don't know what the heck I was thinking...except that maybe I was sooooooooo overwhelmed at actually being able to buy that ship before it vanished, my brain shorted out and I was barely able to function at a level higher than 'blithering idiot'.

I missed out on the 2006 Slave-1, so I can't comment on that one but, with the new one, there are quite a few fairly large pieces there (which I have NO idea what else they'd be any good for, since they're mostly Slave-1 specific), so I'm not THAT surprised at the price. Though, to be honest, I would have expected it to be just UNDER $100, instead of OVER $100 (Canadian).

Cad Bane's Speeder is now priced at $64.99 on the lego website. I guess the sale is over. :D

If i watched the show I would have bought Cad Bane speeder. I was 1 month late for the dropship and Falcon so I feel TERRIBLE having missed out. Why can't this happen more often

Took them more than 2 weeks to correct it. ;) Rare to see a set go on sale at any retailer for almost 40% off in canada (unless clearance). A nice sale indeed. :)
