[Contest] LEGO Spring 2013: Classic Movie Vignette
Re: [Contest] LEGO Spring 2013: Classic Movie Vignette
What is the appropriate rating for the movie? I'm not looking for a X-rated movie or anything, but I've got an idea, from an R rated movie and the scene has some pretty crude humor...

From previous posts asking the same question it seems a good rule of thumb is if you think you need to ask...
Having seen your entry though I would find it odd if anyone would object.

This is for an alternate entry, because I'm not sure mine comes in under 500 pieces.

Since no one has brought this up and since it will probably be an issue, what is the ruling of overhang? we should probably define this from the start.

No more overhang than Arashikage-sith's entry.(3-4 studs?) But don't get carried away by putting whole minifigs or any major parts of the scene over the edge.MotionOTheOcean wrote:Since no one has brought this up and since it will probably be an issue, what is the ruling of overhang? we should probably define this from the start.

We understand that some creations may require background/grayscale editing to imitate the "classic movie". However, please be advised that if you are submitting a 'doctored' photo, an undoctored/unaltered photo would be required. If you have an inquiry regarding this, please let us know.

Im working on my vingette now, and I was wondering, this may sound wierd but I simply dont want to give away the information. There is a piece I want to use, it IS made by LEGO, it came with a LEGO set, although it is a human "tool" can I still use it?

Are you talking about a brick separator? Don't see why that wouldn't be allowed. You do have my curiosity peaked.
Who is General Failure and why is he reading my hard disk?

No it is not a seperator, though I have seen those used in MOCS, and some people can do great things with them! Im actually very excited for my submission, it actually shows iconic scenes from 3 movies, uses 2 collector figs as well. Im super excited!

How does voting work? This is my first LEGO contest?
Re: [Contest] LEGO Spring 2013: Classic Movie Vignette
Contest evaluation will be based on votes from membersXiasaki wrote:How does voting work? This is my first LEGO contest?
If there is a tie, there will either be another voting round for the 2 contestants or the staff will make the final call
Re: [Contest] LEGO Spring 2013: Classic Movie Vignette
Can the people who made projects vote, i think that is kinda unfair. Also I just registered today, but plan to participate. Since i am participating can I vote?

Usually the people who enter the contest are not allowed to vote.

I have a question, the figure i want to use can i replace the hat with hair? It would fit the movie scene better? Thanks!
Re: [Contest] LEGO Spring 2013: Classic Movie Vignette
If its a collectible mini figure I think you have to use a Cmf piece of hair but you can give them any accessory.Xiasaki wrote:I have a question, the figure i want to use can i replace the hat with hair? It would fit the movie scene better? Thanks!
