2012 Mini Christmas Contest #3: Build an Ornament

Post by atmail35 » Fri Nov 16, 2012 7:02 pm

The rules are simple:
•Build a small model of an ornament that you would hang on your (or a friend's if you don't celebrate Christmas) Christmas tree. You may incorporate minifigures in your ornament design, however your design cannot include only minifigures.
•The contest starts now and entries will be accepted until the deadline on November 30th 11:59pm (est).
•Entries can be edited until the deadline
•After the deadline I'll chose a winner from the eligible entries.

The prize package for this contest includes:
•9498 Saesee Tiin's Jedi Starfighter
•30053 Mini Republic Cruiser
•Princess Leia Minifigure Key Chain

Like all of our other contests, our basic contest rules also apply
If you have any questions you can ask them here.

Good luck to all!

This one seems fun!

Will this be raffle-style as well? and does it HAVE to have a mini figure?

thanks,

david

I will use a random number generator to pick the winner from eligible entries.

It does NOT have to include a minifigure, however I did not want the entries to only consist of minifigures, regular LEGO elements should be included.

My snowman ornament, made with input from firstborn.
(Doh! I see another snowman was posted first since I last checked the forum.)

Figured I'd lego-ify one of the ornaments on the tree already!

Our entry. To explain, what you are looking at is a sweet X-mas scene with a father lifting his daughter up to put the star on the Christmas tree while mom snaps a photo. It's all encased in a clear box, and the lid snaps on and off easily and it hangs from a ribbon on top. Santa is peeking in as well.

It was hard to photograph, with the top on it was real dark and getting a good angle was tough. Hopefully it makes some sense with the explanation. Good luck to everyone!
